soo there's this high school drumline exhibition on Saturday in Wichita Falls (2 hrs. NW of D/FW) and they're going to be there! Paul Rennick is going to give all the HS drumlines a clinic :D

We would get killed in WGI because of the huge emphasis on the visual/thematic elements and the like, involved in judging. It would be fun none the less.

Though UNT is with the best in WGI music wise. Though WGI can just be a bit gimmicky at times for UNT I'd say.

@stubbyt34 well i go to unt, and i do know that theyre not allowed at certain competitions because they would go every year and always sweep, so everyone else stopped coming, maybe WGI is one of them?

@chappy486 Have you seen any world class WGI? I doubt UNT would "always sweep" when competing with ensembles like RCC, Pulse, MCM, and Rhythm X.

@stubbyt34 They don't compete because it's a University which means most of them are overaged and are not allowed to compete. For that reason they usually design a show that is also longer than the 7 minutes limit that WGI has.
