  • What is she screaming? All I can hear is, "Sharon, get the doctor."

  • iuuuuggggghhhhhh!!!! her tongueeee!!!

  • spiderwalk was the only scene I've ever watched in a movie where the hairs stood up at the back of my neck. I wasn't expecting it and it looked so unnatural.

  • Aughh!!!! Nightmares!!

  • @ACPJ8103 Ewe, i know right !

  • This scene is TERRIFYING in the book!

Literally, the line is just "Wherever Sharon went, Regan would follow."

    Enjoy your nightmares! ;)

  • @Nanakiismyhusband Oh, I will. You just scared the Hell outta me O_O

  • Search youtube for ' Mark Kermode on "Legion" ' for a bit more info about this particular cut. Interesting stuff. Oh and Hello Jason Isaacs.

  • This is so much creepy than the bloody mouth one coz that one is so cheezy and very common to some horror movies.

  • @ACPJ8103

    Same here.

  • Why does she run away?

  • This one is much more disturbing than the laughable blood one. Lol

  • This prefer this scene rather than the original, even if it's so scary.

  • So this is what originally happens and the new one is the one where she spits the blood out?

  • I was expecting to see this in The Version You've Never Seen Before but they decided to fuck that one up and do it their way instead.

  • YIKES! I would leave that kid on the doorstep of the orphanage.....

  • Doesnt The Grudge have a spider walk scene too? This was freaky 30 years ago because it was kind o unaettlig and weird looking

  • its creepy and funny at the same time

  • if you read the novel you'll find a lot of interesting moments that are not in the film, like this scene that is full detailed in the book

  • that should have been in the movie

  • These people must've had so much fun filming this movie...

  • how exactly is this scene scary?

  • Ive run across the tounge scene many times at the end of the spider walk and seen Linda Blair talk about it--my understanding is that it is her real toungue--which she also used in the other scene on the bed? Is this animated? is it a scene outake that was intended as a possible for the original? does anyone know?

  • @phantomvibrationsX Well, on the bed scene when father merrin and karras we're giving the exorcism, while linda was sticking her tongue out. She said they made a mold of her tongue.

  • Actually in the book Regan follows Sharon on her back the whole time, she never turns around, and her tongue stretched further, I guess there wasn't the technology at the time to make it this way.

  • the missing scene in the movie..make it real..!!!

  • well you can tell by the way she uses her walk, she's demon possessed; no time to talk

  • ehh the other one is better

  • i just got this movie off netflix and just watched it for the first time (i know, right?) and there wasnt a spiderwalk scene. so im confused about this

  • @Nemesis986 the spiderwalk scene was restored for the director's cut of the movie.

  • The one from the movie creeped me out. This one is just as scary as hell if not worse! Im glad they didn't put this one in there

  • that was some scary shit

  • ahahahhaahha wat eenn lekker meisje zeg met die tongg.

    grr vanuit arnhemm

  • I wonder why this scene was taken out of the final film? This is avery creepy scene

  • @Angelhaven95

    so aweseom!!

  • this scene is toooooo creepy

  • i rather the other version sorry 4 my english but i'm not english

  • jeees, that was just scary :O if that bitch closing to me like that :D i couldn't survive

  • That's cool. How did Peter ever think about the spider walk

  • I like this one better than the bleeding mouth one that was used.

  • ufff...

esa ecena de la lengua no la habia visto

    esta muy buena

  • Actor Jack Mc Gowran (who played Burke Dennings) died while filming this movie.

  • WHAT?!

    how?

  • I actually find this scene quite scary. People always wanna see blood but I mean think about it. If I see a child bleeding from her mouth I'd call an ambulance. But if I see a child with a fucked up tongue and black eyes trying to chase me that will scare me. I think I'd even kick that girl in the head just to trow her away from me, specially if she said "you're gonna die" and peed on the floor or did those fucked up things she did before in that movie. Blood doesn't scare me.

  • Yeah, it's like, c'mon, we know it's fake! Lets see some suspense, plot, believeable characters! Movies from this era can creep me out with the way the camera angels and not overdoing things 2where it's hokey. Then again, if I watch this kind of thing and I'm still not scared, I'll watch the news. That's guarenteed to scare me.

  • Can someone tell me if this is true-> My m8, who's addicted to horrors, said that people committed suicide over the original Exorcist movie, cos it was sooooooo shit scary!

  • I think that is actually true.

  • It's based on a supposedly true story. The excorsism had actually been performed on a little boy. Now, I don't know about the head spinning or the green vomit, lol. If your child's doing that, um, I think you might want to call a doctor, lol.

  • The vomit and head thing wasn't true. Rest was, apart from it was a boy. Stuff like this happen today. I'm writing a book like this (and I won;t get sued since stuff like this happen today)

  • AnimalCrossingGames , I'd love to read it, :-}! Let me know how to get it when it's done, please. I hope it's a great success, :-}!

  • @erinandcompany

    I will. :)

  • @AnimalCrossingGames , Thanks so much, :-}!

  • @AnimalCrossingGames you write book in your language. don't attempt english, you are too coarse with the language.

  • I am English. I just can't be asked to write properly. But in the book I'm writing, I will be writing proper English.

  • @AnimalCrossingGames yea its called mental illness

  • @erinandcompany more like a mental insitute becuase youd be dead so if your seeing your kid do th at you know your on the glue! haha

  • @erinandcompany The head spinning was an add in, the child did vomit strange things.

  • @erinandcompany not a boy! it's a true story about Anneliese Michell.. -.-"

  • @22HeroHeroine No, it is in fact an adaptation of William Peter Blatty's book The Exorcist which was based on the 1949 exorcism of Robbie Mannheim.

  • @erinandcompany it is, but his face didn't change like hers did.

  • Anyone who would kill themselves over a movie or over an Ozzy record is messed up to begin with. There was a rash of teen suicides in my day, and people were blaming movies, musicians, just about anything they could point their fingers at. I still love my tunes and my horror movies, but.....I'm a counselor, lol. If art tempts you to do anything that wacked out, you need help. I do think that without art, sports, or any kind of outlet, we'd be absolutely feral.

  • yup it is

  • This scene scared me so bad when I was little. My sister played a joke on me that night by pretending to go down the stairs like that. She scared me so bad that I ran away crying lol.

  • That would be a great for a porno.

  • sucks that this wasn't in the movie, or at least the one i saw : [

  • The problem is young folk have become desensitized to modern day violence in movies and the special effects that make it happen. Some of the people, who saw the 1933 version of King Kong, thought the monster was real, and the effects were considered cutting edge for the time. When the 1931 version of Dracula premiered on screen newspapers reported that members of the audiences fainted in shock at the horror on screen. You had to see the Exorcist with 1973 eyes, in order to really appreciate it.

  • ahahaha that made me laugh

  • This is supposed to be scary?

  • this is not scary at all. and i get scared of my own reflection (dont laugh) whats wrong with you people?

  • This is actually what happens in the book, it's really creepy... Regan was trying to lick Sharon's feet, just to creep her out i gues lol

  • if i tried to do that i would fall!!!! lol

  • I'm glad that they didn't include this scene. It's not really scary. Why would Sharon freak out? At that point they didn't know that Regan was possessed as made clear by Chris telling Sharon to "get the doctor," so why is Sharon scared of a little girl flicking her tongue out at her? Yes, it is an abnormally long tongue, but then again, none of them believe that anything that is going on is abnormal such as the bedshaking, etc.. I'm glad that they added in the bloody mouth. That's a lot better.

  • not scary its just weird

  • this one and the new one are freaky but why is it scary.

  • Holy shit!!! You don't think this would be scary but it fucking is!!!! It's really freaky!!!

  • this is wht acually happened in the book! but ive never ead it, just heard it lol.

  • If I didn't know this was the Excorcist, I would've thought that this was a little acrobat girl video sped up in fast motion, with a long tongue. Lol.

  • OMG THIS ONE IS BETTER!!

    I love it :DDD

  • Lol, I think this version of the spider walk

was hilarious. The new version was freaky o.O

  • "Your mother knits socks in hell"!

  • @suspectdevice7 hahahaha i thought she said your mother suck cocks in hell

  • @amaka38 ......"Your mother sews socks that smell."

  • This is more alarming than the scene that was eventually used in my opinion. It's quite disturbing, especially the way she comes down the stairs. Theres something obscene about it which is why I think they never used this scene.

  • The behind-the-scenes media consultant for "The Exorcist" was noted Scottish psychiatrist Dr. Charles Follen McKim Maloney. He strongly advised against the use of this scene,

  • I had heard rumours that Dr Charles Follen McKim Maloney had been a consultant on the Exorcist, I wasn't sure of their veracity, thanks for that information. Dr. Maloney performed a number of exorcisms before he disappeared. He was even employed by the CIA to try to exorcise Papa Doc Duvalier using his untested subliminal exorcism techniques. Papa Doc began flying kites not long after this, apparently 'the power of kites compelled him'!

  • No he didn't.

It wasn't used because the sequence didn't work.

  • well yes he did! I knew him. But that's ok.

  • i agree, the version that was used kinda grossed me out but this version the way she crawls down then turns around crawling towards her mum, it just made me shiver

  • lizard tongue

  • Dis version is awsome nd so is dis movie!!!!I luv the exorcist!!!!

  • I'm tellin ou til this minute she creeps me out---I mean that makeup an look is utter EVIL______

  • holy fuck

  • cool!!

    very nice ;)
