It shouldn't be a law where kids can't buy rated M games but its a matter of parenting.It's the parents choice if they want to expose their kids to mature content.Everyone has different ways of parenting.Some will try will shield their kids from content that is too mature for a kid and some feel that it's better just to expose their kids to anything.But the government shouldn't choose.

I believe their should be a steeper restriction on the age bracket that can buy certain games. It would be nice not playing with 8-12 year olds. Besides, I would not want my son playing Black Ops at that age. That said, the rating system should be revamped, some 15 year olds ARE mature enough to handle certain content.

I dont think this will hurt sales at all. Cuz kids don't have the money to buy games, these are bought by someone else 90% of the time! The other 10% buys them with allowance money, which means only 10% will ask someone else to buy it for them. 3/4 of these will succeed thanks to that uncle, big brother, etc... and 1/4 will succeed after a while till they find someone that will do them the favor...

lol i honestly dont understand here in ireland you can buy a 15 game unless your 15 an 18 game unless your 18 and so on? your pretty much saying that.obviously it should be that way.. whats the big shock lol.. if your under 18 just get your mother/father to buy it..

I'm sorry Gunns, but no one has been desensitized to death. The healthy human brain associates fake death with fake death. They know it's not real. If you google car crash victims and stuff like that you see real gore and the sort. If you can see that and still be shocked, congrats, you're still not an emotionless animal. I don't perform this as well, a long while back I found a video asking me to do the same thing, but it was a video of a man commiting suicide. Not. Desensitized.

I believe their should be a steeper restriction on the age bracket that can buy certain games. It would be nice not playing with 8-12 year olds. Besides, I would not want my son playing Black Ops at that age. That said, the rating system should be revamped, some 15 year olds ARE mature enough to handle certain content.

If you already know what I mean and didn't buy it then good, but really though its not the kids fault anymore now, now its the parents fault for even buying games like that to their kids anyway. games will sell less if the law is passed, but on the other hand i've been to gamestops before where a kid was at the oldest of 10 years old with his father, and his father buys him call of duty and i guarantee that that copy of cod isnt for the dad

I dont think this will hurt sales at all. Cuz kids don't have the money to buy games, these are bought by someone else 90% of the time! The other 10% buys them with allowance money, which means only 10% will ask someone else to buy it for them. 3/4 of these will succeed thanks to that uncle, big brother, etc... and 1/4 will succeed after a while till they find someone that will do them the favor...
