  • looks nearly perfect

  • our 4020 is still earning its keep, paying the bills. But If I had the bucks, I would do the same for our 4020 and let it be a show tractor, a parade queen. Its earned it several times.

  • that is awesome looking good job on the restoration the 4020 is the best tractor ever!!

  • hardcore international but have to say the 4020 4520 and 5020 were good tractors

  • Dream machine!

  • i know i've said it before but i'll say it again..awesome awesome job guys that is one AMAZING tractor. i've been wanting a 4020 for YEARS ever since i could say tractor i've wanted a 4020 lol i'd be honored to have one like this one in my collection great job guys i'm very impressed.

  • damn thats sexy

  • beautiful.

  • A+ thats a 30000 dollar tractor sitting there. Chip Foose should take some advise from you, or just not touch a john deer again.

  • awesome awesome job i love the 4020 i want one so bad lol

  • Nice Work

    Go Green

  • i like a 4020 with mfwd 4x4 4wd those are the real tractors very rare and they cost a lot

  • i liked it better when it looked old

  • i miss our 2 4020's

  • bbfix: When you boys are ready to sell her, you gimme a holler - ya hear!!!

  • john deere would be proud because that tractor looks like it just rolled off the factory floor

  • awesome tractor!!! the 20 series rocks!!!

  • We got 4 of em best tractors i have ever used. Never have had problems

  • That was probably the best all-around farm tractor ever made. It had enough power and weight to handle a heavy disc or a 5 bottom plow, but it was nimble enough to pull planters, sprayers, cultivators, grain drills.

I think they said it had 95 at the PTO, but it was the pullingest 95 I ever saw!

  • sunywoo, so out to lunch! You can be very proud of your project. I envy doing same to mine, it's in about same shape or worse!!

  • Way to go!! Looks like it just came from Waterloo 45 years ago.

  • very nice job

  • awesome

  • damn bo. wheres yalls farm out of? my grandpa has bout 4 haha.

  • John Deere really had their stuff together when they made that tractor. I am a two-cylinder John Deere man but if I ever had the chance to buy a Deere that wasnt a two-cylinder it would be a 4020 no doubt.

  • restoration exceptional and very very power ful machine

  • you should do that to mine 4320.

  • syncro or powershift

  • awesome video

  • What would a restoration like that cost ?

  • dont screw that gem up its a beauty

  • now thats a tractor you can be proud to own

  • Don't let Chip Foose near that! LOL!

  • @pard75 : Yeah, no shit! That Chip Foose character is a total DOUCHEBAG for what he did to that 4020.

  • @pard75 his 4020 is ugly

  • @pard75 i agree 100%!!! he completely RUINED a 4020!!

  • very nice it looks factory new! what year is it?

  • When Scott started taking it apart every part that moved was either worn out or almost worn out. He said it is no good to me laying all over the floor like this. As long as it is apart do you want us to pound out the dents and paint it. As you can see by the video it is almost all brand new. Too nice to use now just shows I believe.

  • @bbfix rough estimate of cost?

  • @bbfix i liked it better old i think it would have looked better without paint

  • such big love for the old tractors... it gives me a wonderful feeling.. when i see a tractor.. from wrecked to brandnew.. its amazing (Y) respect for all rebuilders.. it cost lot of time.. patience and money... but it is worth it...

  • very very nice job sir

  • i love my john deere 4020 to death, i have got the round fenders tho, they are harder to find but look great, 98 hp of pure champion

  • nice tractor i'd love to get my hands on a 4020 wide front end turbo diesel

  • im pretty sure they had the nonturbo 404 engine

  • great job man!

this is an 6,6 Liter engine or?? with 100hp?

  • That is a piece of art man! Old Deere's never die they just smell that way.

  • top restauriert --super gemacht

ich wünsche dir viel spaß u freude damit

  • the beginning of vid is exactly how mine is, its used daity

  • my dad had a farmal 806,,,,and my neighbor had a 4020....they were both great tractors...really different...but if i had to buy one..i would probably have went the deer

  • Real nice!

  • Looks like a 1972, I have a 68 model, but the 72 model had larger oil pan and side controls, prelude to the 4320 about the same tractor with out the cab

  • One of the best resto videos that I have ever seen, GREAT JOB!!!!!!! 4020 the best all around tractor from the late 60's to mid 70's!!!!!!

  • You put that 4020 back in the game son

  • Awesome restore job! She's a real looker!

    Mean Green!

    John

  • If I stumbled across some Tack's Toys videos, I'll probably shit my self, LOL. It'll be awesome 'cause I work with DC SuperShine. We polish Tackaberry's trucks. George has got one of the biggest and nicest collections of antique tractors and trucks in North America.

  • what a beautiful tractor. i love 4020's and 2020's

  • I am a big fan of the john deere 4020 but I like the late models the best the early ones are more harder to drive

  • The Ol Johnny Poppers is what they call themThe last series of Johnny Poppers was the 30 Series

  • i like our little 50 and 60 they are neat little tractors

  • shes ready for another generation of work.

    awsome tractor.

  • nice job mate. A lot of time and money , but hell it was worth it . looks a million bucks 11/10!!

  • wow

  • we have a restored 4320

  • axles just look long because she is set up for 30" rows, I'd say

  • Never saw a early 4020 with that long of axles

  • She's a beauty!

    Take Care,

    John

  • what a geat movie! there aint nothing prettier than a resored 4020 great job

  • I think the clam shell finders look beter of the standards but those look alright

  • The price on 4020 are goin up becous they are being restord all the old guys that grew up on 4020 are restoring them

  • Yes we had trouble with the 7th gear on the powershift and 5th it would shift smoth untill yougot to 5th and it would drop to an idle and sit for about 5 seconds and then take of and 7th would do the same only slam when it shifted. I just got back from Fall harvest is south dakota and we filled a lot of 50000 bushel bins with 90 ft 18 in augers and the best tractor we had on PTO was a 4020 the 2nd best was a 6030

  • Nice job! How long did it take?

  • Whoa! Slow down! lol.

  • We usta run 4 4020s at the Dairy now we just got 1 we had some clutch trouble in the 1 we got it was just a bolt shearen of but we could split it replace the bolt and put it together in bout 30 min we also had a powershift never worked right

  • Great Job! Nice looking machine!!

  • we ran two 4020's on a 3000 acre farm up until the day we quit farming, one tricycle gear running propane with custom built fender tanks for spraying, and one diesel with a push blade mounted it was one of the workhorses. worked daily pulling disk etc. the reverse had failed in it and dad was to cheap to buy batteries, so i know for at least ten years we made sure we always parked it on a hill and never got into a place that required you to back up. Hooking up euip was a trip to say the least.

  • awesome bud! great job, I want to do up a 4020 as well one day.

  • 4020's work wonders for us

  • Good jod .. it looks great.. we have a 1972 collection from a 2520 to a 4620 and we have just finished fully restoring one of our 4320's and it looks great.. keep up the great work

  • ..loved my 4020D..let it sit all winter & started right up next spring! Could pull a 4-16" plow thru just about any soil condition like it was pullin' a toy.. would rate it the best 6 cyl tractor JD ever made..

  • congrats!!! Great job the 4020 is a great tractor, we have a 4020 at work and a 4010 at home

  • One of the best tractors on the planet. Bravo!

  • im a big fan of the 4020's we have 3
