I'm not a video editor (duh) so I guess I could've made that section work better with more time invested and nicer cuts and stuff, but all in all I wanted a slow pace contrast that would build to a climax. Without the contrast it'd been superficially more slick but lacking the "moment of epic glory" where the hero overcomes adversity and becomes a martial arts GOD that picks bullets out of the air and ruins his foes blindfolded and shit. ;)
