1. theres 2 decks of card : "the old" and "the new"

2. the new deck with plastic is already under the old deck when he puts it on her hand

3. when he asks ellen to hold the deck tight, he says"I removed the joker"but he actually removed the old deck and put it in his jacket

4. when ellen opens the new deck and he askes her to put it one the table, he says"I can do so it looks fancy"when he grabs the deck he slips the autographed card in the deck.

Him grabbing the deck was genuinely him trying to make a nicer spread, I've seen this trick done before and it's actually a variation on a trick done by George Shidler but this is all original handling. He does remove only the joker when he says so, he doesn't slip in the 8 of diamonds when he takes it from her. You are completely and most definitely 100% INCORRECT!

You can see him bridge the cards at 1:05 so plainly then reverse the "cut" he did, a simple false shuffle.

The riffle shuffles he does are false shuffles not changing the order of the pairs but very hard to execute. The svengali deck when shown from the top down as he shows ellen, will give the illusion of the cards all being mixed up when in fact they are already arranged in pairs. Such trick decks can be bought at any good magic shop. Watching Pen and Teller helps u see all this lol

If you wanna know how he did it. He used false cuts and false shuffles. The "new deck" he brings out is a pre arranged svengali deck(trick deck, google it) organised in pairs.

If u watch at 1:05 when the camera zooms in on his hands and he does the "butterfly cut"....watch the order of the deck(if you're new to magic...look at which card is at the top of the deck) this card doesnt change, he gives the illusion of cutting the deck but if look closely the order doesnt change and remains identical
