I have a question... I think I remember this. Is he the guy who died on the field and they brought him back... If so, I would have been 6yrs old at the time. This stuck with me all my life.

In 1971, Chuck Hughes (WR) died on the field from a heart attack.

Reggie Brown went down with a neck injury in 1997 and needed mouth to mouth on the field. His career ended, however he is not paralyzed.

that was crazy too with Brown i was at the game. Its a shame he woulda been a great linebacker.

No, he didn't die, but became paralyzed. The entire team was inspired and the year became the "Thumbs Up" year, because Mike gave the thumbs up as he was carted off the field.
