I love this show, I have to admit I'm glad I stayed to watch 8th season, seeing Clark in his new dress clothes is pretty hot. Although sometimes I do miss his subtle blue and red coordinated outfits. I love how all the superheros on this show always wear their colour even when they're not wearing their costume. The Justice League episode is a GOOD examples...lol. I have to agree Lana needs to leave, and I thought the Engagement party episode was the best, and "Crimson"...that was a HOT episode!

She broke up with Clark because she needs him to know that he doesn't have to choose between her and the world. Lana is not a selfish person; that is partly the reason she left. As for the kiss, it is pretty sweet. It means that because of Clark's destiny, they can only love each other from afar. as much as they want to be together...Clark still needs to save the world.

Actually I think to a certain degree you're right. I love Lois/Clark's relationship and always have...however back in seasons 1-3 I loved Lana and Clark but I could never really appreciate them because in the back of my mind I always knew it'd be Lois... and so I think we are a bit biased... or whatever you want to call it. I love Lois and Clark, but had I not known that they were endgame when Clana was happening, maybe I would have looked at Lois as a threat in season 4... I don't know.
It's not so much about the length of the relationships, but the ultimate destiny of Superman is with Lois, that is the way of the comics. If they are gona stay true to the character, he has to start getting together with Lois, and Lana needs to leave all together. I personally don't think Lana deserves Clark. She's a back stabber.
And I don't think Clois' chemistry has only been those 3 episodes, it has been hidden in situations here and there and now it's coming to the surface.
here is the thing, I don't think Smallville is trying to "stay true to the character" The Smallville Clark Kent and the Superman comics Clark Kent...coming from certain comments are the same yet very different.
I sometimes think the other way, that Clark doesn't deserve Lana..shes gone through hell and back and shes a stronger person. Her strength of letting go of Clark and constantly telling him, "ur place isn't here with me, its saving the world" is really BIG of her...

That would be nice. I would like to see writer write a story about Superman and Lana. Lois would have to disappear or be dead for that to happen, I think, since most stories/comic books have them married. I don't know how they can find their way back to each other on Smallville since Kristen Kreuk isn't returning - unless they recast the role of Lana.

I love Lois/Clark's relationship and always have...however back in seasons 1-3 I loved Lana and Clark but I could never really appreciate them because in the back of my mind I always knew it'd be Lois... and so I think we are a bit biased... or whatever you want to call it. I love Lois and Clark, but had I not known that they were endgame when Clana was happening, maybe I would have looked at Lois as a threat in season 4... I don't know.

It's not so much about the length of the relationships, but the ultimate destiny of Superman is with Lois, that is the way of the comics. If they are gona stay true to the character, he has to start getting together with Lois, and Lana needs to leave all together. I personally don't think Lana deserves Clark. She's a back stabber.
And I don't think Clois' chemistry has only been those 3 episodes, it has been hidden in situations here and there and now it's coming to the surface.

here is the thing, I don't think Smallville is trying to "stay true to the character" The Smallville Clark Kent and the Superman comics Clark Kent...coming from certain comments are the same yet very different.
I sometimes think the other way, that Clark doesn't deserve Lana..shes gone through hell and back and shes a stronger person. Her strength of letting go of Clark and constantly telling him, "ur place isn't here with me, its saving the world" is really BIG of her...

Well, I guess I can't really point out specific situations because to be honest, I have only started to tune in weekly to Smallville now because it didn't show on tv where I live, so I've been trying to get caught up watching the previous episodes. I guess Lana is not that bad. In the beginning when I was actually watching I did like her with Clark. I guess it all depends on people's point of views, the one who truly deserves Clark, imo, is Chloe.

That would be nice. I would like to see writer write a story about Superman and Lana. Lois would have to disappear or be dead for that to happen, I think, since most stories/comic books have them married. I don't know how they can find their way back to each other on Smallville since Kristen Kreuk isn't returning - unless they recast the role of Lana.

And even so, if Lana and Clark are soulmates that doesn't mean anything. Look at Dawson's Creek, Joey and Dawson declared themselves soulmates in the last episode because a soulmate is the FIRST person who knows everything about you in and out (which Lana didn't even but we'll ignore that), but Joey still ultimately ended up loving and being with Pacey. So this 'soulmates' argument doesn't really have any merit.
