No I don't want him to be something different. But why do many people equate success with selling out? If I saw someone on a Pepsi commercial, I could understand. But having your own talk show and being liked by many people does not make you a corporate sellout. And yes, music sucking is my opinion. Just like Bill Hicks used to talk about Rick Astley and Debbie Gibson sucking was his opinion (one I happen to agree with). Either way, success does not always equal "sucker of satan's cock."

I don't think Bill Hicks ever saw "having a talk show or tv show selling out" it's just compromising yourself. He used to enjoy the David Letterman show, but hated Jay leno because Leno really compromised himelf for it. He later went on to hate Letterman when he refused to have him onchis show.

I've never seen Miller's work before this show, so I have no idea if he's a sell out or not.

The reason Hicks got mad at him was because one of the nights he was on he did some jokes on abortion and christianity which the producers approved said he could do on air ahead of time. After he taped the show and went home looking forward to seeing it on tv they completley removed his segment from the show and told him some of the material was innapropriate after they had already approved it. Later on that week there was a commercial during the show from Pro-Live advocates. He did the math.
