I have touched the keys of the Arius and felt quite satisfied by it but since I have no way to get close an P85 I do not know whether it'd be better or any different at all, at what quality and level. I tested Arius, I liked the keys, but I don't know the feel of the P85. Last thing, would there be any difference between a description of graded hammer standard of the P85 and the graded hammer as described in the Arius? Is "graded hammer standard" different from "graded hammer" of the Arius?
The Yamaha YPG-635 is the best digital piano, it has over 500 voices (types of instruments) features and it sounds amazing. You can combine all of them and add effects, echos, and distortion. Or make it sound as if you were playing on a stage. The possibilites are endless! You end up making more sounds. You just gotta be creative! I've had mine for a long time and I'm still learning new things about it. It's awesome!!! xD
@Carlit0Tit0 : I wouldn't judge the best digital piano on the number of sounds available but the quality of the sounds, the ability to split and layer sounds and of course the key response.
hey I find that when i play a fast upbeat piece on the piano, say turkish march by mozart, i end up mucking it up because it takes my fingers ages to push the keys down, and it makes my fingers cramp too, but i can play fast songs on a keyboard because you don't have to push the keys down far. does a digital piano have keys like a keyboard?
No sadly, almost anything that's a digital piano has weighted keys. If you practice your pieces slower on weighted keys and bring them up to speed as you're more confient it should avoid cramps. Playing on weighted keys give you strength in your fingers so you'll eventually find that the weight of the keys isn't a problem anymore : )
But Roland beats Yamaha. If you hit a note with some velocity only 3 mm down, on a real piano, you will hear a loud sound. Try to hit the keyboard on a Yamaha digital piano down for only 3 mm: and you will hear nothing because yamaha only triggers if the key reaches ALL the way down. So on a real piano: everytime you hit a note fot only 2/3/4 mm, you WILL hear the note: but NOT on a YAMAHA digital piano. TRY Roland: they do it the right way... Just try out this experiment, you'll see,,,
i ordered mine today hehehhe cant wait it will replace my old digital piano which was rubbish, no cover, keys kept breaking it was terrible. Be warned digital pianos are great in looks and sounds but they will not last forever. i have had 2 and both have survived for about 5 years and then have broken and the keys got screwed up. So if you have the room and the money buy a real piano as they can last forever and digital pianos do not.
Hi, I really like this piano, but I have one question, how do I change the sound of the piano, I mean piano sound, electric piano sound, etc. ?

Someone probably composed this song specifically to demonstrate the capability of this specific piano.
