  • wtf !! that`s porn not a cartoon 3:57 , 5:11

  • wtf !! that`s porn not a cartoon 3:37 and 5:11

  • pause at 5:11 XD

  • Oh, the times when Disney played inspirational, spine chilling music.

Amazing piece to play, absolutely beautiful

  • Still scares the living shit outta me!

  • Guess who's back for another KH game!

  • Fantasia would end for me as a kid right before this scene. I was so terrified of it the first time I ever saw it I had nightmares about the demon in it for the next 2 years. I have seen this movie countless times, but I've only seen the ending part maybe 3 times my whole life.

  • Now this is Disney ^^ The age where all of us were inspired to become something extraordinary... and not sum piece of shit who sings in school like a cheap Broadway for no FUCKING REASON.

  • i remember fighting that thing in kingdom hearts man he was hard

  • Excellent sequence. Always loved this piece of music.

  • id love to see this guy on once upon a time...

  • The good days when Disney was about creative art and not just exploiting children to make money.

  • Chernabog. In Kingdom hearts. OMG C:

  • I am here because of Katsuhiro Otomo and Takashi Nakamura

  • I now interpret this as Chernobog having a dance party all night with his buddies.

  • If you played Pink Floyd over this, I would think it was a scene from The Wall. This was my favorite part of the whole movie when I was a kid.

  • @L0Lnotreal Play battery by Metallica when the second guitar comes in at the beginning of this vid and enjoy

  • Souls are migratory. They go south for the winter.

  • 5:13

    Harpy boobs

  • @jsteffey88 I always thought that there was a connection; they're both equally terrifying. The scene where maleficent appears in the fireplace; makes all of the horror movies look like Barney!

  • @richiefranklin76 lol good point! I'd be staying inside to and asking Jesus to save me and protect me; no joke by the way.

  • Enchanted Galio

  • To a child, this is absolute LSD.

  • @UNDENATUREDisaword might have been worth doing LSD as a kid :P

  • I still get chills when I see this. Scared the hell out of me when I was a kid... Not really Chernabog itself, but the flying demon faces coming at you at around 4:50 - 5:15. o.o

This and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty... Damn, Disney.

    KKS

  • What creeped me out about this scene when I was a kid were the spirits coming out of the water, and especially the graveyard (the music is the most sinister at that bit I think!). I actually loved the rest of it, I thought all the weird creatures were cool, and I *loved* the music! This is what as amazing about Fantasia, it made me, my brother and my best friend love listening to classical music. What a great thing to do for children! And the animations were great!

  • Lol whats Batman doing in a Disney film? :-p

  • Does anyone else think of Justice-Genesis when they watch this?

  • lol kh is a best game

  • When i played Kingdom Hearts, I thought Chernabog was the devil!

  • @davidanderson49 Chernabog is suppossed to represent the devil so your basically right.

  • @davidanderson49 he is the cursed god of all that is evil...little is known about him

  • Kh1

  • Glad i got my revenge in kh2

  • Those blue demons at 4:00 look like they're trying (and failing) to attack Chernabog. "I got him you guys!"

  • Best theme music ever.

  • 6:29 seeya tomorrow guys!

  • What happened to those good ol' disney films? like black cauldron?

  • @MirroredimageXIII The Princess and the Frog and Tangled are very good movies and just like the old ones. They are also starting to make a movie based on the "Snow Queen" tale, which I assume will be much like classic Disney as well. Am I saying the new Disney is perfect? No, even though those movies are both fantastic a lot of their movies the past few years have not been. I'm just glad they seem to be finding their roots again, and I hope it continues.

  • Why am I watching this on Christmas eve?

  • The reign of the darkness...

    I love it :)

  • When i was a kid this scene creeped my out but i had my REVANGE in Kingdom Hearts

  • Comment removed

  • booooobs at 5:12

  • 2:00 I've seen those similar creatures appearing in the Hearth's Warming Eve episode!

  • Kzernabokk

  • and they say our generation is so desensitized HA!

  • The scariest experience of my childhood movie-watching. But now, its awesome.

  • Pure epic entrence

  • I had no idea what was going on when I saw this as a little kid. Still not sure I do, but I know it's awesome.

  • this is beautiful.....

  • @MrsBellaRoux or "macabre" :)

  • @MrsBellaRoux each and every single frame had to be hand drawn back when this movie was made.

  • It'd suck living there. Haha, but I loved Fantasia as a kid. Miss these.

  • I love this! I remember playing it in my school orchestra - awesome :3

Also I love how the actual story for this piece is a man trying to climb a mountain through a storm but this interpretation is just cooler!

  • thats some freaky sick shit... Disney was messed up, sick mofos.

  • Ah.. the good times of Disney when all wasn't "correct" and "100% educational". This scene creeped my out when i was just a child, but I must recognize I used to see it alone to prove myself i was brave.

And now... now we have Hannah Montana in Disney Channel.

  • @Premonitor Hannah Montana doesn’t show on Disney Channel anymore.

  • @Premonitor Like someone already said Hannah Montana has been over for a while (thank god), but more importantly I do agree most of their stupid sitcoms are awful and I wish they would have more cartoons again. Specifically ones with Mickey and the gang or even the ones that were based on their popular movies were all really good. I think a series based on The Princess and the Frog or Tangled would be great. Speaking of which, Dr. Facilier's death scene in TPatF was quite creepy a la old Disney.

  • @Premonitor

You're talking about "real" Dinsey and Disney Channel all that. The animated Disney films are still as good as they were seventy years ago.

  • 3:44 Flame atronachs!

  • well that... that was just fucked up.

  • This is my FAVORITE symphonie, NO! piece of music, NO! noise I have ever heard!! Love the composer forever now!! Dance DEMONS DANCE!!!! HA HAHA HAHAHA!! :)

  • This scared the 6 year old crap out of me. I don't think I could watch this all the way through the first couple of times :( Now, it's epic and amazing in ten million different ways :)

  • I watched a scary witch poison Snow White. I watched a man get hanged in Tarzan. I've watched a lot of Disney scenes that creeped me out but this beats all of them. This is like Disney's version of hell and the old-time animation only makes it scarier!

  • Best part in Fantasia. X3

Plus he's in Kingdom Hearts, which is a plus.

And the Fantasmic show at Disney World.

  • and this happens every night? that village is screwed!

  • play this sequence with the song 'Black Sabbath' and you'll have something truly badass.

  • @wildsmiley You don't need Black Sabbath to make this badass. It already is.

    =^^= Nya

  • @RocketMeowth Indeed, I know - this sequence has always been my favorite part of Fantasia. Just sayin'.

  • I am a 25 year old man. I've seen terrible things in my life. This is still the most terrifying thing I've ever seen. It's pure demonic evil.

    I love it.

  • Maybe this was meant as more of an art thing than a kids thing so they thought it fine to put in some boobs....

  • @Deppaddicted Fantasia wasn't a kids first movie. It was art first. Each sequence, including this, is interpretation of music in the form of moving animation. That alone takes a lot of artistic skill. If they put children first for this movie, it wouldn't have been as powerful as it is.

    =^^= Nya

  • @RocketMeowth My point exactly.

  • Did anyone else notice the demon's boobies?

  • The end is magnificent...

  • @hypernickel ok, and how can you prove that it is the sun he feels?

You would say: I can see the sun.

He would say: buy I can't, so I don't believe you. I need evidence to believe in something I don't see.

What if two bliend men are talking about the sun. One of them doesn't believe in the sun, the other does. How can the other guy prove that the sun does exists?

  • @fiesefiraaat A: this is the crappiest arrangement of the piece I've ever heard, just sayin'. B: go read Allegory of the Cave.

  • @md20gm a blind man believing in the sun, thats faith. Thats believing in something you cant see.

  • @fiesefiraaat he can feel the sun on his skin

  • 5:11 nice boobs

  • 0:37 And that's how Sei-An City from Okami got cursed

  • Best part of Fantasia. Damn. I was a dark kid.

  • This is creepy like fuck.

  • Truly, the perfect children's movie.

  • Way to ruin the party dawn!!

  • I watched this just now to overcome a fear I've had since I was three. No joke. I never watched this part as a child, cuz I was too scared, except for once when my sister forced me to and I cried.

I'm 20 years old now. I feel like I have moved further into maturity.

  • Wow boobs.The 40s were fucked up.

  • @ridely700 they're just boobs. Half the population has them, you sucked on them as a child....

    lmao

  • @WolvesOfEurope True

  • 5:11 and 5:13 lawl

  • the graphics in this movie are unreal. Definitley a masterpiece. love it!!!!!!

  • I think Maleficent was created by this guy.

  • Night on Bald Mountain = The Greatest Underrated Disney Villain Song

  • Damn Disney what happened?.This was awesome now the content you show is shit.

  • @tr0ubled0ne Jews took control of it, that's what happened. They have sexualised our media and turned it into lowest common denominator trash along with the amoral capitalists.

  • white zgadzam sie

  • @white61283 Thanks, I've noticed Poles seem quite aware of this. I just hope something is done in England soon about these problems.

  • Did I see all four horsemen of the apocolypse?

  • Man, I loved Chernabog s a child. When I finally got to fight him in the first Kingdom Hearts, I shat my pants. He was hard as hell, but it was such an epic fight. I love it.

  • When I was a kid, Chernabog was awefully scary, at specially his scary smile parts at 2:37, 3:04, 3:23, 3:56, 4:31, 5:16, 5:28, 5:34 and 5:45.

  • This was back when disney was metal

  • And this was made to be watched by little kids? o.O

  • is this supposed to be symbolic or something im just curious

  • @9598dad if you look hard enough you can find symbolism in anything. the most obious answer is that being a servant to evil will never lead to happiness and in the end when the church bells ring banishing chernabog and his minions back to the darkness is a symbol that good will triumph over evil :P

  • @4xEVERxDARK another interpretation could be that despite how safe and familiar things are during the day, the light always fades and evil will have it's reign. Day may banish the night, but day must fade & the familiar becomes unfamiliar, menacing & malignant. This devil figure is in control over his beings, but one could argue what's so different between him & a "light" character playing puppet master, making their minions dance as they twist the strings? If one feels like finding symbolism

  • @sickandtwisted636 a very virtuous view, and i absolutely concur with you stating how there really is no difference between the devil figure and a light puppeteer like character.

  • Looks like hell has broken loose.

  • nooooooooo the end is raped :(((((

  • horrified me as a child...im ashamed to admit it still does...=l

  • @MissGarland20 No reason to be ashamed. This is a true masterpiece of terror, among both live-action and animated works.

  • @Caleb9849...It realy is, even though it's animated it's just made to be terrorizing....It for sure is lol

  • ...Believe it or not, ponies brought me here.

  • this is a bit too scary for the under 5s i think.

  • shivers.

    fucking shivers.

  • I never realized that my eyes were raped by harpy boobs at the age of three... while watching a Disney movie. That's pretty funny. lol

Fantasia was my favorite movie as a small child (two, three years old). This part always had me glued to the screen, just because there was so much going on at once. That's probably the reason why I never caught the harpy boobs--it all happened too fast. lol

  • @potatowatermelon Maybe because 2-3 year olds don't look for that sort of stuff?

  • this song is amazing!! i have to admit, i heard it first on kingdom hearts while fighting chernabog haha but i still love it!

  • Best part of the movie BY FAR. It's a shame this film doesn't get the recognition that it deserves, as a lot of the other Disney classics do. It's brilliant, but just too adult for little kids who expect something with princesses and fairy tales.

Also, even before seeing this clip, upon hearing this music I officially declared it the most badass classical piece EVER. XP

  • This is my favorite part in the movie, I love Chernabog so much.

  • Dear Chernabog, Stay out of my dreams. thanks.

  • This is So DISTURBING!!! What the hell??!

  • @whatistruth777 disturbing? are you certain you are using the right phrase? this video fills you with disgust, and bends you're ideas of morality? if not try to use more correct grammar, if it does than i do not understand why...

  • Quite a difference from his "Pictures At An Exhibition".

  • Its truly a masterpiece in every way.

  • Happy Halloween =P

  • This scared me when I was like 7.. Every time this played on Disney I'm thinking I don't wanna die. Also this makes me pee on my shorts when I was a kid :P

  • I don't always do shrooms...But when I do, I freak out on this:o

  • this whole film, the concept of it and the shorts themselves, was disney truly being an animated artist

  • Amazing that this piece of animation is 70 years old.

  • Guys, does it really matter whether it's Satan or chernobog? Either way, I doubt you'd want to meet him in a dark alley.

  • @Blaaz101 it wouldnt even have to be a dark alley id hate to see him in a brightly lit park at noon on a hot summer day

  • used to scare the crap out of me when I was little (nightmares) and yet I was fascinated lol

  • Satan sure is a dick...

  • @3mate1

It's not stan, it's chernobog. Fucking christians pissing all over everything...

  • @Svitlo37 shut the fuck up. insulting someones religion makes you a ignorant prick. he might no even be Christian.

  • @eftultima

What I sound like to you is irrelevant. And watch your fucking language

  • @Svitlo37 watch your fucking language prick.

  • @eftultima

    Fuck, you're watching language.

  • @Svitlo37 i prefer to speak my damn language as opposed to fucking watching it... oh forgive me i believe that my was french is a little rusty

  • @4xEVERxDARK

Well that's too bad, because your grammar is utter shit.

  • @eftultima You don't have to insult someone's religion. The fact that someone believes in that bullcrap is already doing to job for us. lol

  • @WolvesOfEurope well that makes you a fucking idiot. fucking athiest are like annoying roaches that need to be stomped on. you annoy the fuck outta me

  • @eftultima Love your enemy, was it not? People like you are exactly the reason religion is being hated upon. People filled with hatred for anything that differs from their own set of believes out of simple fear.

But yeah, come and stomp on me. I'll stomp you back twice as hard.

  • @WolvesOfEurope nope, my enemies dont deserves my love. i dont argue or debate other peoples belief until they start it first. i dont go on videos telling anyone to believe in God, but you guys have to tell everyone you dont believe in God when nobody cares what you think. keep it to yourself and ill do the same.

  • @eftultima You're telling i should just silently watch all the wrong doings of religion and let it all go on without a single word of critisism? Well, that's just fucking retarded. But appearantly you don't give a shit. Because you're a stuck-up, self-centered shithead who only points to other people for all bad things happening around the world and hardly ever looking in the mirror.

And you know what? we're not going to stop untill every church has burnt to the ground.

  • @eftultima If it were up to you... all those disgusting pedophiles in the church would still be doing their thing. I bet you're one of them.

  • @WolvesOfEurope what the shit are you talking about. those priest and pastors dont represent me. they dont speak for me or act ass my leaders, they chose their own paths, i dont pay attention to the vatican or to the church owned by those men. look, the only real difference between me and you is Our belief, other than that i live a regular life that doesnt involve shoven my belief unto someone. If you cant understand that then youer just choosing to ignor the world you live in.

  • @eftultima What you're failing to realize is that RELIGION is making this possible. Especially because priests are so highly regarded and usually don't receive any critisism from within because of their position.

There was a case here in Belgium where her son was raped by a priest and it was kept silent for 40 years because the mother feared exlcusing from social communities if the news got out.

    You just don't get it.

  • @WolvesOfEurope i do get it. but im not like them and believe me, i know planty of people who arent either.those men dont represent us and should go to jail. im not brainwashed nor stupid. i know right and wrong and dont accept their actions. they are false people and turned away from God for hurting those kids. I understand that people may think they represent us but no even close.

  • @eftultima That's another thing. The bible is almost completely open for interpretation. Just think about all the different institutions within religion... christianity, protestantism, jehova, catholism. Who decides what is right and what is not? Which interpretation is actually right? Why not islam or buddhism or whatever.

  • @WolvesOfEurope i wont lie to you, im not sure what is true or not. but i chose chritianity as a guideline for my life. in the end its all about choice. but in all religion we pray for a peacefull life after death with no more suffering. thats all i can say about that.

  • @eftultima So... you're letting fear of the afterlife and discomfort lead you to something which hasn't been proven as the 'the truth'? That's another problem i have. People start to assume things based on fear and idyllical ideas instead of INVESTIGATING if the fear is actually based on truth.

This is a major source of racism, bigotry and hatred.

  • @WolvesOfEurope its not fear, i just choose to believe theres a better life after death. i could just so easily be athiest and my life would be completely different, but i choose what to believe in.

  • @eftultima I'm sorry man, but I have to point out a few flaws in your logic- I realize that faith is not a logical thing, but the existence/non-existence of 'god' is a logical question, one to which there is is a definite yes-or-no answer. You've basically stated that you believe because you WANT to- that's not logically sound. Second, you're committing the 'no true scotsman' fallacy when you label people as 'false' believers because they did something you don't want to identify with.

  • @md20gm when i think about how the world was made or the existance of the universe i cant help but believe it was created by a higher being. its true that i was put into christianity by my parents but im old enough to question things about religion, then i look at the way the world is and cant help but believe there is something greater. if someone tells me they dont believe in God then i dont need to hear their reason. i can still be friends with them and not change who i am. no judging here.

  • @Svitlo37 when "Night on Bald Mountain" appeared on the original Wonderful World of Disney, Walt Disney referred to Chernabog as "Satan himself."

  • @askbob77

I could find something on the internet to say anything I wanted.

  • @Svitlo37 Could you find a direct quote from Walt Disney that states that Chernabog is not satan. Be my guest if you can find anything.

  • @askbob77 There is no need for that.

It comes down to the artist's (Walt's) intent, versus the source lore. Walt Disney called him "the devil himself". This however could be wrong, if your considering where the inspiration for this character came from, then it would be a pagan god from Slavic lore.

One that is less than important it seems, as only in western Slavic tribes of the 12th century was he frequently mentioned. "Chernobog" as it properly spelled there, is his name, Meaning "dark god".

  • @kaitoudark1 Enforcing this fact, is the theme of the video here. I'll quote Walt here.

"Chernabog is first seen when he awakes on top of Bald Mountain, revealing himself to be the spire. It is Walpurgis Night and, using the powers of darkness, he raises ghosts, monsters, fire women, fleet of monstrous imps, blue satyrs and demons from a nearby town with a cemetery. " Walpurgis Night is a European tradition, and Chernabog is a deity of from west European religion back then.

  • @3mate1

    satan*

  • Disney animation at it's best!

  • And so at 5:38 the neighbors finally grew sick of the party.

  • 0:27-0:30 YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!!!!! Thumbs up if you get the reference! :)

  • @Bystander81 Illidan Stormrage FTW

  • I feel like this piece was supposed to depict Hell - the demons running about, conducting evil, etc. Near the end you can hear church bells ringing, and the evil goes away. Perhaps it is a religious segment, showing how church supposedly keeps evil at bay.

  • IM PLAYING THIS SONG FOR MY BAND CONCERT!!!!!!

  • @lovleycupcake143 Awesome! Good luck!

  • @RyanTheMutt13579 They would be...

    ... because they're DEAD! MUAHAHA

  • Could someone explain to me what this piece means? What was Chernabog doing? Was he sending those spirits to hell?

  • @knhim713 Chernabog is summoning his minions, the souls of the damned from Hell to amuse himself only to destroy them again. He does this every night but as midnight tolls, St. John's Night begins and he is forced to retreat.

  • @knhim713 The actual peice was a composition by Mussorgsky, Inspired by Russian literary works and legend, Mussorgsky made a witches' sabbath the theme with them summoning the Devil to the mountain, which is what that big flare of trumpets originaly represented, his appearence.

As for Chernabog, I don't know why the hell Disney renamed it to such an obscure Slavic deity, it;s so obviously The Devil This was from the 1940 before Disney got very PC (hence the only nipple shot in any WD movie)

  • @0Iluvater0

Funny thing is that witches don't worship or even believe in the christian devil, so they wouldn't even try to summon it.

As for it "obviously" being "The Devil" I assume you mean because of the horns and wings. Well there is record of Horned Gods that predate christianity and the amalgamation of diety and favored animal form (as many pre-christian religions had) would not be unheard of. It's obvious to me this is a dark, likely misunderstood, deity. Probably rules over night/dark.

  • @Dracoa79 Maybe they don't but hay, I'm not Mussorgsky and this was his interpritaion of the work, and not summoning the devil? you only looking at one discription of witchcraft, maybe one that is different from the one represented in this score.

As for assuming that it is the devil I just go by looking at the 1940 original concept artwork for the ainimation labeling it as "the Devil" and if you find the entire Fantasia Movie, before this starts, the conductor even mentions Satan by name.
