Don Lemon has come out of the closet as a proud gay man since this video was on tv and I applaud his bravery considering that many people in the black community are homophobic. Donna Summer has beeen accused by of saying homphobic remarks, but this is not true and in 1991 she sued and won a lawsuit over a publication that claimed that she said derogatory things about gays. I LOVE YOU DONNA SUMMER, DON LEMON & MICHAEL JACKSON !

The first song is a live version of State of Independence from Donna's 1983 HBO show, A Hot Summer Night With Donna.

The choir included her daughter Mimi, several of her nieces, nephews, and the group Musical Youth. The last song is Donna singing a live version of the song Pearls, that was first recorded by Sade.
