Dude, "lycan" is just short for lycanthrope... the same thing as a werewolf.

Agreed, at least on the transformation scene. I like other movies with Lycans in them more, but that has the best transformation by far. For that type of wolf anyways. I personally prefer the prefer the Lycan types from Underworld and Van Helsing, the ones that walk upright and are humanoid wolves.

Like father like son. Lon Chaney Sr. was a brilliant silent film actor/make-up artist and his son Lon Chaney Jr. was a very good actor.

first time i saw it, it actually scared me back then when i was a little kid back in 1995 I beleive. The 3rd werewolf movie in 1957 called I Was A Teenage Werewolf scared me even more back then also
