Well I just got mine from Sweetwater Sounds from Scott Barefield One of 25 ( # 24) I can only tell you its is just an awesome guitar ! But alas it is going under the bed Not to be played. But When I got it i cranked it out thru my blues jr and then thru a G dec 30 with a back up track and my girl thought it was a live video she was listening to ( not me ) lol The sustain is sick and the bridge pick ups just screech its a pretty as it could be Ruby burst and is just a dream to play

I have owned a number of Gibson guitars over my 40 plus years (OMG!!!!!) of playing and I now also have a 59 - 50th Anniversary RI in Cherry Burst with the Gloss finish and let me tell you...it's the sweetest playing most beautiful guitar I've ever owned. If you have the chance to own one these guitars than by all means, get it...you will not be dissappointed!!!

Because les pauls are made for more than just wanking on zeppelin tunes...MOST people who truly appreciate them are pretty beyond that "i just wanna hear classic rock" stance. If you picked up a 59 paul and played zeppelin or sweet child of mine or something equally overdone, people would certainly view you as an amateur.

Good music is subjective. Classic rock isnt the end all be all music there is, and unfortunately many of you are too ignorant to realize it. Pianos not usually seen with a guitar/Les Paul? How about Jeff becks career for almost 40 years, you almost never hear his music with some kind of piano. Or how about any blues music for that matter. Or jazz or pop. Get off of the classic rock tit dude, there's much more music out there than that.

this one is more vintage and suupreme is gfancier

This one, because its more vintage correct and more like what a les paul should be. The supreme is chambered for lighter weight. But the 1959 is naturally a bit lighter weight because of how high quality the wood is. I will say the supreme has a fancier maple top on it, but the '59 just plays so amazing. It has the sound everyone loves right out of the box...true inspiration and will cover every style you put it up to
