Why did we allow public policy to bail out the bankers while they run real people out of their homes? We would do better with a universal interest rate, not to exceed 1%, on all owner occupied homes. Well I usually a very liberal person, but he bought the house and was unable to pay for it. He should walk away and learn. What he has done is just dig the hole deeper. No one likes to lose their home I know. But, it isnt the banks fault he cant pay. This comes from somone who would typically not be on the systems side.

The government is giving money to the banks and helping them get back on there feet, but the people are still loosing there homes. In Iceland they apparently either destroy the whole thing or strip it completely bare (plumbing, electrical, and all) leaving only the frame. that's much more effective than this, i would think.

They were told even after the banks were begged by them it was out of their hands. I kind of think this is selective foreclosures too. The banks were making no offers on homes they could not make a profit on. This would be something I would check into.
