It's just a flourish that you can do during tricks. You could use it with the butterfly false cut, use it to distract from something you're doing with your other hand. Plenty of things.
with a good deck of cards they won't stick together .. this is a great tutorial and its easy to learn just requires a lot of practice .. thanks cardshark
This is a very helpful video, I've already gotten a lot better...I'm just having a hard time being able to get the cards so evenly distributed. Like in yours you can see every number and on mine some of the cards are being covered. Does it just need practice?
The BEST one handed fanning tutorial yet. After watching only once, I've gone from picking up scattered cards on the floor to making pretty decent fans. Thanks!
if you're like me and you have pretty small hands, practice with 8 cards first, then move to 20, then 30, then 40, then 52. it's much easier, and after like half an hour i went from dropping my cards on the table to doing a perfect flourish fan with the entire deck!
Umm are you using a full deck because i got a full deck of cards here and finding it hard to get it all spread out evenly i mean id need lyk anuva 5 fingers for that ima confused :S
He disregaurds the fact that a good percentage of the population can't snap.....lol including me! But I figured it out anyways. Great tutorials LOVE THEM 5/5
i can do it but it doesnt look good because im using a old deck, its sticking together!!T_T i going to buy a new deck lol so i can do again that anaconda dribble XD
Dude, there's no doubt that ur the best on utube! I tried doing a one-handed fan every now and then, and i failed... in a very epic way... but now i can almost do it!!!!
wow seriously i have been working on my fanning tricks and within the first minute of your video i like got them down with ease, turns out i had my thumb in the wrong position. thank you so much!
I've seen this 2 days ago and i'm practiing on it. The first 5 minutes i started to realized i was improving. Now i can fan half of the deck cards. i'll keep on practicing until i have the same fan sa yours. :) thank you cardshark.
i tried to click my fingers, but it doesn't work.
i haven't got it like you, but they all go another way. some go the side of my thumb and some to the side of my middle finger and some don't do anything :(
my cards are still cluttering :( what can i do about it? the vid is very clear but when i try it, the main fan shape is there, but with loads of cluttered cards:(
nice vid this seems a bit stupid really not about the vid but about my control cause when i try the two handed fan i cant do it but i can do the 1 handed fan which is harder so the internet says i can do it reasonably well but all the cards dont show and it doesent clump as much when i do the 1 handed fan so i prefer the 1 handed to the 2 handed much easier and i like the ghost deck and the ice deck ... where can u get it thank you for listening to this comment fanner trainee..........:):):)
wow. nice video. simple. and i got it =D however, if i hadn't gotten it i would probably be criticizing your video and your teaching ability. you have skillz sir.
Oh man, like the person before me, your one handed fans are really pretty. I've just picked up card manipulation, flourishing, whatever because I needed a hobby, but your videos are really helpful! I still need to work on the thumb fanning since it's uneven but it's a lot better than what I started with!
Awesome tutorial CardShark that was the first fan I learned. When your video was over i knew how to do it.But that was a long time ago. Thx CardShark. You rock.
Awesome!..I could now do one hand fan with 2 hands..in just a few moments..:p I can even do more than just 180º fanning now..~beautiful~ thanks to your help!
it's funny, i had a hard time doing it with just my middle and index finger but so i started using all of them when you said so on the video and it was a lot easier, but i had a hard time getting the last few cards spaced evenly, so i tried my middle and index finger again and it was almost near perfect XD, thanks to the great tutorial!
I tried it. At first, I couldn't get all of them to fan evenly. Then i tried with only about 7 cards, found the correst grip, then added more. I eventually worked my way up to half the deck. Gonna keep trying, thx.
im practising lol but it seems cant to get right the first card always got dragged vry awkward im not sure how to explain lolz but your tricks are cool
Ty so much i am trying to learn all ur tricks and make video from em =) some of your tricks are easy like this i learned it in 1 min =) but some of em is pretty hard practising make me as good as u are i hope :D
My cards are plastic and i can barely manage to get them spread out...a little easier in my left hand for some reason, but, they always seem to come out in blocks rather than seperately...Any tips?
Don't use plastic cards. They barely slide at all. Try bicycle cards, they have an "Air-Cushion finish." They slide very well. a new pack of those is the best thing to start with.
Since I didn't really know before how you were doing this, I figured out my own way, and for me it works better and is a bit easier to control. I'm posting a video response to show how I do it.

CardShark88 i have kem plastic cards and it is much more difficult to do fans. Then i bought normal cards and my fans are very good but why???
omar95136661 3 years ago
Because plastic are only plastic "plates" with random surface wthout quality but with life time
Normal cards are often fan powdered and the surface is same, that means same gliding to every card and its quality made, middle life-time
Guess the plastic one "fanned" in piles ?
