I find Carrie Underwood quite boring, and most of this album is boring, same ol stuff, same types of songs, at least Kelly brings something new to the table and doesn't look like a barbie doll. Kelly wrote every song on my December, and has been writing songs since she was a teen.

Sorry but Kelly doesn't have the range. That SUBG you cited she was yelling at the top of her lungs and still couldn't nail the G5 (she kinda yelled an F#5 or a seminote in between). Its an opinion about who is the better belter but I'd say Carrie. Carrie belts fluidty and doesn't have to yell her high notes like Kelly. She has more range in full voice. Kelly could hardly do an Eb5 of MI without her voice going hoarse and sounding like she would die.
I know she didnt do the note.. though she didnt try to sing it it was more of a real performance

Right I actually agree. Carrie does place her notes on the back of her throat giving her that overcompressed nasally sound though. Kelly always deliver emotions into her songs and I can't see Carrie doing the rocker type thing or any emotive performace. This could be due to her inexperience, I'm sure with time she will learn how to intepret songs.
she's an american sweetheart-- and she has it all-- great voice, great personality, and great taste in what to sing.. no wonder she is so successful-- and SHE DESERVES EVERY BIT OF IT!!!!! Here's hoping she'll have a very long and successful career, and a great life outside of the business!
Her CD is the best of the best. She has the rocking songs, the soulful songs, the meaningful songs with a message and the silly fun country songs. My problem? OMG, which song is next for a video? I want a video for everyone! I think she could have several #1 singles out of the CD. Carrie you are amazing! And yeah, thanks for trying out for Idol and thanks to America for knowing talent.

Sorry but Kelly doesn't have the range. That SUBG you cited she was yelling at the top of her lungs and still couldn't nail the G5 (she kinda yelled an F#5 or a seminote in between). Its an opinion about who is the better belter but I'd say Carrie. Carrie belts fluidty and doesn't have to yell her high notes like Kelly. She has more range in full voice. Kelly could hardly do an Eb5 of MI without her voice going hoarse and sounding like she would die.

Right I actually agree. Carrie does place her notes on the back of her throat giving her that overcompressed nasally sound though. Kelly always deliver emotions into her songs and I can't see Carrie doing the rocker type thing or any emotive performace. This could be due to her inexperience, I'm sure with time she will learn how to intepret songs.

Her CD is the best of the best. She has the rocking songs, the soulful songs, the meaningful songs with a message and the silly fun country songs. My problem? OMG, which song is next for a video? I want a video for everyone! I think she could have several #1 singles out of the CD. Carrie you are amazing! And yeah, thanks for trying out for Idol and thanks to America for knowing talent.
