OMG I cant believe a Tamil woman is able to openly discuss this with a Sinhalese woman on camera! This is very encouraging and indicates there is hope for redemption when both sides are willing to come together and just seek the truth. And the best part is she didn't get called a TERRORIST just for speaking about what happened to her aunt. Im sure many Sinhalese people in SL would have no problem openly acknowledging the truth, if only they had the information and the freedom

I don't see any sinhalese or buddhists being put into camps, taken from their homes despite the war being over. the fact is the Sri Lankan Army have been found to committ war crimes which is inexcusable and the Sinhala population are all the more stupid for ignoring this. Channel 4's killing fields anyone? Why are you guys still talking about the LTTE when your goverment claims they no longer exist. Tamils deserve freedom (EELAM).

May be LTTE killed them...ppl have aleady mentioned that LTTE shot at them when they were trying to escape....and in this war so many other innocent ppl died...So many Muslims were killed by LTTE as a part of their ethnic cleansing. @wenura Reconciliation will never be achievable as long as one side feels they have been deprived of justice and believe that their own government could murder (or something much worse) them with complete impunity. Human rights violations can not be swept aside and in order to build a brighter future, we must 1st acknowledge all the truths and all the injustices of the past (just as Germany did).

she is stupid woman do not know anything. First of all GOV didn't force civilans to move to north eat safe zone. LTTE did. Safe Zone was declared by GOV becoz there were civilians in that area. .................. Second not all the civilans killed in safezone was not act of GOV. So these women stating only according to their assumptions. PLS have some knowledge over the situation before u all come to conclusions

how many died in safty zone? even tamilnet claim 1000nds and they are equiped with camaras computers to upload as soon as incident happends in such small area.......... they failed to display even 300 dead bodies. They tried to maximized the damage by taking enough visuals. If you can show me 300 atleast total of two months of visuals ....

This war is well foughted...... in iraq civilan death was over 1 million. this war didn't even exceed 100 000 over 30 years. I'm Proud to be Sri Lankan

Let us not rule out the fact, LTTE was guerrilla fighting within NFZ.

Please use your personal experience, and fight within SL towards democracy ?v=lE9-VZPBv04 and against extremism & separatism to discourage violence.

even without war some sri lankans strugle to have three meals a day and theres hardships ,
