To hear something like what these guys are going for... makes me remember that metal solidly has it's place in my car stereo. I loved Corrosion of Conformity... I loved Pantera... Anthrax... Henry Rollins band. Metal lost it's appeal once 15 year old rappers and fat hairy guys trying to dislodge the remnants of a brutal chocolate donut came on the scene. Fuck Nu metal and fuck cookie monsters.

@AceHalford In my opinion heavy metal should be let to die, as far as popularity is concerned. If "metal" loses its mainstreamish position only real bands and fans will stay with it and it can finally start evolving again. Because, lets face it, metal has not really evolved that much since the 90s. Exept for Dropped tunings... Bah, i would never call it actual evolution as they are pointless and worse to play than standard tunings.

@Benteiron I agree that the modern stuff like Korn and Slipknot should just not be called Metal anymore. I do however think that Metal has evolved. If you look at the less mainstream band (Metal hipster glasses just got put on) like Kamelot, Nevermore, Lazarus A.D., I could give you a list of the music I listen to, they have different sounds from the Nu Metal that is being put out these days.

I could probably sound it out and get it to sound fine in Drop C or something anyway, but I'd like to get it in the right tuning too.

It COULD be played in drop C, because none of the riffs from the album call for one or the other specifically, as far as the fingering of the notes and chords
