No poster boy looks, physique from hell and basic moves. But Earthquake was all that a great wrestler supposed to be. A shame his great run in WWE fizzled out the way it did.
I really liked this match a great methodical battle of the giants...I can only take so much of the technical high flying bullshit...pro wrestling is a show and I love a good show...
Indeed. I believe Tenta was making the rounds in Japan, then came back to the WWF for a short while before finally leaving for WCW around the middle of 1994 like you said.
@amish725 It was unfortuantly infact that in the wake of what appeared to be a push for the Quakester, he decides he has to sign with WCW, and form what I hear he randomly brought this up to an unsuspecting Vince McMahan during a flight. This is what I believe led to Yocozuna Squahsing Earthquake during a house match. I wonder if Earthquake was slated to be the 94 King of the Ring as he was Owen Harts Original qualifying oppenent before being replaced by Doink upon leaving the WWF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's not the Renegade, that's the Ultima.......oh wait.

He didnt have to imitate ultimate warrior. He would do well as a wild tarzan type character

I enjoyed watching this match! Tenta sold Renegade pretty well and made it look like Renegade had a chance there. RIP, John Tenta.

This wouldn't be around Tentas WCW days, he didn't leave the WWF for the WCW until the middle of 94.

Funny how the WCW actually tried to pass this guy off as even a rip of Ultimate Worrier.

This was from April 2,1993. Tenta was one of the best big men.

So this must have been during Tenta's WCW days? He's been under many names but Earthquake was his finest personoa.
