@rosendah actually, im in my early 20s, and never watched a lick of ESPN until far after jordan retired (unless his games were on espn). i wasnt force fed anything, and actually i do think for myself; thanks for your concern though. all of my opinions/thoughts about jordan came from me watching almost every game of his, along with most other nba games during his era. that, along with the fact that i PLAYED basketball, gives me a pretty good idea of a GREAT player when i see one

@musikaNeues AGREED! everyone should know that Jordan copied moves its what fans of the game do. This is why Jordans great tho.. he copied these moves to give himself options. The reverse layup for example: I cannot find a clip where Jordan did a reverse layup with no defense jumping or swiping at the ball! He made these basic moves look fancy. It would be good to see all these moves from all these other players as it evolved through the ages tho!

This doesn't change the fact Michael Jordan was a greater player than Kobe will ever be. For those of you who have never studied the game, sure, Kobe gives the impression he is equal to MJ, sometimes better, but for those of us who study the game it's not..

MJ holds all the awards and accolades one can ever imagine, but I do believe however, Jordan played in a softer era, when Magic, Bird, etc were already on their downfall of their careers. Basing it off stats alone, can't be measured on how much talent one can own. Kobe's offensive aresenal has surpassed Jordan, and he has polished every facet of the game. And as for Dwayne Wade? Please. He'll never be @ Jordan's level. Hell, he'll never even catch up to KB.

kobe has already surpassed magic in a lot of categories , such as ppg, most points scored by a laker ever, game winners, most points in a single game, defensive titles, scoring titles, etc....so kobe has got another 7 years in him, 5 of time being stronger than the rest, so i would imagine he will pass magic fairly easily, the real question is will he be able to fulfill his legacy , and be right next to mj, if not surpass him...
