yea i started doing my own nails at home. it seemed that whenever i went to the nail salon, the little vietnamese women would try SO hard to push an acrylic overlay on me telling me that my nails will only break etc...they just want more money. (in philly a manicure is $12, an overlay is over $20 if you want french...which I dont know why they always charge more for french as it is LESS PAINT!!) . I absolutely hate acrylic nails...i think huge thick plastic nails are utterly disgusting.
