W życiorysie Lemieszewa jest błąd geograficzny . Po zamordowaniu na rozkaz Lenina rodziny cara Mikołaja II w 1918 roku , nadano miastu Jekaterinburg , leżącemu za górami Ural , nazwę Swierdłowsk w roku 1924 . Jelcyn - sekretarz KPZR w Swierdłowsku zburzył dom , w którym zabito cara . Jelcyn pierwszy prezydent Rosji przywrócił miastu w 1991 roku nazwę z czasów carskich .

Miasto Samara leży w dorzeczu Wołgi , więc w części europejskiej Rosji . W latach 1935-1991 miało nazwę Kujbyszew .

It is true that, because of circumstances in the Soviet Union. most of Lemeshev's recordings were made when he was past his vocal prime. His great glory was his style, though, and that he never lost. He was 54 when he recorded his third Lensky in 1956, and he was still magical. He was a very great artist.

Thanks for your comment. Lemeshev's first Lensky is exquisite, and if I hadn't heard it I would have thought his last was as sublime as it gets.
