its a great idea and it looks like it takes a while to edit, but i feel that this could be one of the best shows on the game station. bringing back retro games that where overlooked, could be the aim of the show. the fact that u mentioned the bouncer was sick. FYI pikemen 2 was AMAZING! the chrono trigger/cross were amazing games for the time with epic soundtracks, ie corridors of time. Or just overlooked jrpg's in general ie wild arms, xenogears etc. that ruled the 90's. BIg fan, good luck :)

The reviewer calls other soul caliber players noobs but i think its him lol. he says there is no point in soul charging but there is 2 ways to use it. one by backing up or as you drop an enemy to the ground. i never had an issue with controls on gamecube i had a 8 second combo with link i guess controls dont work lol. he is also wrong about people playing soul caliber 2 over 4 its better in every way. he wines about online well now you get it and you still like 2? dude u proved urself wrong!
I'm 15, I used to only have a gamecube. Soul Caliber 2 was my baby. Even at like 8 it was engaging enough for me to never set down, but simple enough mechanics to really kick ass. I've never sat through a 17 minute YouTube video, but this was ny first. Awesome review.

I am doing another episode, my health has been poor and Ive been trying to decide what episode to do next. I started working on Lost in Shadows in Jan, but it wasn't a great game, heck it wasn't even in a good game. Then came Bionic Commando re armmed 2, another game that I spent a lot of time working on and didn't want to do an episode because it isn't MG quality. So it looks like it will be Little Big Planet 2, pretty sure since the game did pretty well.
Only problem friend is I have no staff. I wouldn't be able to do this weekly for atleast a year or two. Editing the video review took about 3 days. Live action stuff only an hr. Very much appreciate the encouragement & support though.
Hey kwing I have a question for you. I have a lot of weapons in soul calibur 2, but they only let me use them in weapon master mode. Can you tell me what I have to do to let me use the weapons in vs. mode and arcade mode? Great review!

To be brutally honest my friend. Xbox soul Calibur had Spawn, c'mon a hell spawn with necro blasts and ultimate fucking combos from hell, jesus christ that's a power house. Sure link was a cool asset, I didn't quite understand soul cal's star wars cross over too well, but the ultimate crossover I think is by far Kratos, The god of fucking war, with a combo that cut's an enemy's health in half in one go, and It's a moderate combo to master.

Well considering Soul 4 had 3 Star Wars Characters. I suppose we could have 3 Nintendo characters. But IF they did Nintendo, the characters I would pick ,Samus (Zero suit) using the Varia Suit as the Critical Finish. Ike as a heavy class fighter & the return of Link, looking like his Tp incarnation.
Roy would work, but he is an older Fire Emblem character now. Most recent is Ike & Marth. Although Marth is only current because of the DS remake & his appearance in Brawl.
I feel like the only people who don't like the button layouts on the gamecube controller are just people who were used to other controllers. I never had any of the other systems, so I was used to the gamecube controller only, and when I tried to play SC2 on other systems, I had a hard time pulling off moves I could do easily on the gamecube controller, and felt the layout was worse than on gamecube (horizontal + kick was easier on gcn a+y than on ps2 square + circle) .
@Nesveri Well, I didn't really like them. I was a pre-teen at the time and had well smaller hands, so I basically bad to bash on the L+R for them to work. -.-
Well GC, lacked the extra buttons of the other controllers. Plus the game pad, was to small. I too struggled playing with other ports. But will admit, it was a very comfortable controller. Just felt that the fighting games didn't fit well with Gamecube. Everything else was fine. But for the life of me, I can't remember, how many fighters graced the cube. I think at the most maybe 25 from its introduction.

I don't have the Boxes for the games anymore. My Wife needed shelf space, so all my Psx,DC,Gc and PS2 games are in 1 of 6 DVD books. Each book holds 100 Dvds. I won't show it on camera anymore. The opening is a spoof to the T of Masterpiece theater, same goes for me wearing the monkey suit, emotionless expression, fire place & camera angles. Im also having a friend make a better intro, and have my friend helping me do a rock cover of the opening theme.
Ive never Ferrel in that, would interested in seeing his portrayal actually. I appreciate you wanting to build a shelf for me, but Im good. Marriage is about compromise. My games are safe & organized by release date in the books. I can look into Transition music, mostly I just use game music. While I think Wii is out of their range. I really believe 3DS is very possible. Especially the strong response other developers have had with Big N's new device. But will see, I asked Odashima a question about that. Let you know when I get a response.
the reason i had beef with sc 4 was with the jedis. starwars and lucasfilms built up this huge deal of how lightsabers could cut through anything. yet in the game an ordinary sword can block it instead of being chopped up. and also when you get hit with a lightsaber you lose a body part you dont just shrug it off.
I think they went with a different approach for the game. Kind of like how they made Superman weak to MK characters because of Magic. I would play a SW game based on real use of lightsabers, that would be awesome. Even the clone war games, you can't hack off limbs, unless its robots.

WOW, I haven't heard Bloody Roar in yrs. I had it on PSX & Gamecube. Fun game & great soundtrack. Sadly the series has been MIA since 2003. I don't see Hudson reviving it anytime soon.

screw it i cant find my replied comment, granted also take into consideration every one is unique in their own way, i will say when ever i use ivy i get wiped, but i will say that asteroth is one of the hardest characters to use in the series, then 3 had zasalamel who took perfect timeing to get his combos flowing
I don't remember your comment either, Im sorry. I think it something do with Ivy being an easy character for to me us and hard character for you? But I agree Asteroth & Zasalamel, are difficult to master. The giant's attacks give him a huge advantage though, especially from far away. The reach of his ax is terrifying.
I refuse to subscribe to anyone who thinks the general perception of Link is being "overpowered" in any of the SSB games.
I've always felt KWing was full of cheese and lower-leveled play, but this kind of misinformation is damnable.
Although these little shots towards "other" games are nice, it all still feels very stapled down by Layne. I'm not entirely sure where TGS is heading, but I feel there should be less gimmicks (random guest features and such) and more focusing on structured goals.
i have to disagree with the Weapon Master criticism. this was my first Soul Calibur game and i thought it was the best part of the game.

I don't have the Boxes for the games anymore. My Wife needed shelf space, so all my Psx,DC,Gc and PS2 games are in 1 of 6 DVD books. Each book holds 100 Dvds. I won't show it on camera anymore. The opening is a spoof to the T of Masterpiece theater, same goes for me wearing the monkey suit, emotionless expression, fire place & camera angles. Im also having a friend make a better intro, and have my friend helping me do a rock cover of the opening theme.

That's depressing brother! I'll build you a custom shelf for all of those, it's what makes a collection worth having!
It might be good to try using some high quality royalty free tracks while you're in transition. Kevin Macleod might be good source.
Like I said, good writing and content, though to keep a wider base audience, 5 minutes might be a good goal as far as editing time goes.

Ive never Ferrel in that, would interested in seeing his portrayal actually. I appreciate you wanting to build a shelf for me, but Im good. Marriage is about compromise. My games are safe & organized by release date in the books. I can look into Transition music, mostly I just use game music. Sadly there is no way I could do a quality review like this in under 5 mins. Not possible. Im known for indepth and you can't do that with limited time restrictions. Thanks for the input

I just no heard about this, would have helped had I known about this announcement before. The review was already half done editing before Christmas. Still I need to learn Twitter better. Im contacting the directing and asking him a question. If SC V will make it to the 3DS as well.

@kNIGHTWING01 Just had a look again. Daishi Odashima is in charge... A hardcore SC-player since day 1, I think this is going to be good :-)
But as much as I'd love to see a return to Big N, I don't think the Sequel will make it to a Nintendo-console...

While I think Wii is out of their range. I really believe 3DS is very possible. Especially the strong response other developers have had with Big N's new device. But will see, I asked Odashima a question about that. Let you know when I get a response.

the reason i had beef with sc 4 was with the jedis. starwars and lucasfilms built up this huge deal of how lightsabers could cut through anything. yet in the game an ordinary sword can block it instead of being chopped up. and also when you get hit with a lightsaber you lose a body part you dont just shrug it off.

I think they went with a different approach for the game. Kind of like how they made Superman weak to MK characters because of Magic. I would play a SW game based on real use of lightsabers, that would be awesome. Even the clone war games, you can't hack off limbs, unless its robots.

@kNIGHTWING01 yeah but with the superman thing magic kinda does beat out super powers. However I would definatley play and buy a game where lightsabers are still relistic. I still play sc 2 on my gamecube every weak. Lego starwars is the closest we r gonna get with relistic sabers

WOW, I haven't heard Bloody Roar in yrs. I had it on PSX & Gamecube. Fun game & great soundtrack. Sadly the series has been MIA since 2003. I don't see Hudson reviving it anytime soon.

screw it i cant find my replied comment, granted also take into consideration every one is unique in their own way, i will say when ever i use ivy i get wiped, but i will say that asteroth is one of the hardest characters to use in the series, then 3 had zasalamel who took perfect timeing to get his combos flowing

But I agree Asteroth & Zasalamel, are difficult to master. The giant's attacks give him a huge advantage though, especially from far away. The reach of his ax is terrifying.

I refuse to subscribe to anyone who thinks the general perception of Link is being "overpowered" in any of the SSB games.
I've always felt KWing was full of cheese and lower-leveled play, but this kind of misinformation is damnable.
Although these little shots towards "other" games are nice, it all still feels very stapled down by Layne. I'm not entirely sure where TGS is heading, but I feel there should be less gimmicks (random guest features and such) and more focusing on structured goals.
