@azzkkr85 Yes, I live in Alaska. In fact, I've lived my whole life (17 years) here. I spent 11 years in a village. We never got planes this big except for rare occasions. Only in Anchorage and the main hubs in the state did we see jets and planes bigger than a Twin Otter. I know about all those planes, but those only go to military bases or the bigger airports.
@azzkkr85 That's from Kenai. That's not small at all. In the villages, only the main hubs got the big planes. I lived in a village with only 700 people and the biggest we ever got was a Cessna 406.
I know you're all saying it's not a small plane, but remember that the model Era fly is one of the -100Q variants. so they are quite small aircraft in comparison with some, other commercial aircraft.
Only someone who has flown into Homer could really appreciate this video! I've made the flight countless times; this video brought back lots of memories.

worked for ERA Aviation in Homer for 4 yrs most of our flights were on DH Twin Otters.....pick-ups of the sky....the Dash-8 was luxury !

I hate to tell you, but a Dash 8 is not a small plane... an EMB 120 or Saab 340 is small.

I just returned from Homer last week.
This airfield if any of you get a chance has air tours by Homer Air.
We took a Cessna 206 into the glacier fields up close going up and over the mountains you saw in the background.
Absolute best there is.
