sort of. i took a lot of time syncing his actions with the sound. any other track will require speeding up or slowing down some visuals. ther eis a lot more hard work than it seems.
it at least works with one other song! it was sort of accidental how it happened, but the two completely synchronized. it's not even possible to repeat it exactly. your song syncs best though. naturally :)
I viewed this from two perspectives; first (as I do with many films) without the music (and as an avid fan of rare old video footage and cutting) was immediately astounded at the wonderful editing and manipulation and texture and feeling of this piece.
Then to add your music, which has always been superb (if not a little far reaching) and I am left in real amazement of your talent. One great thing about the Internet is that it has allowed us to view your real genius as it develops
as for your question re: copyright etc - all the footage im using is free from copyright laws. ive gone and searched for many years to have such a collection - well over 200 videos ranging from korean war footage to lipton tea commercials from teh 40's. but please be assured this is all creative commons, copyright free material im sourcing. ive got 53 vids outnow, this is only ONE.
Cool. I also dig the guy going off on the bass, but the guy with the sneaky eyes playing the violin is also classic. Do you use Nuendo? Where did you get all that old school footage from. The video quality is good! Well done!
i had to google nuendo as i hadnt heard of it. took me to a forum - is it a video editing program?
i use sony acid (for the music composition) and then sony vegas for teh video editing. ive got 52 vids out now mate.
highlights would include my videos; NUANCE, APE VS MAN SPACE WAR, THREAT, COMMUTERMADNESS and im a fan of HOW U SEE IT too.
video footage-well ive been trawling everywhere for my footage, its almost as full a job as sound sampling. got about 200 vids now of vintage material.
when you get ahold of the vintage material? how does the copyright work? ~~ sorry i'f im asking a silly question, im really curious because i want to do something like this someday ...
where can i get this song? please, also, great work dude
