USAF-EOD Disposial

Leaving for USAF BMT in January 2012! Then I'm off to EOD school. Can't wait, I know it's gonna be one hell of a ride!!

EOD is my only option in the usaf for reserve SF...because I don't have the money or resources to be flying down to FL to be a PJ once a month. Nor do I plan to move to FL for a part time job in the military.

I don't understand why people are arguing about which branch of EODs are the best. They all do a damn god job and should be respected for it

I am leaving in December to basic then i go to tech school to be an EOD, this video pumps me up.

@sparklerbombg Possibly...EOD is a combat oriented job. If they need to they have the tools to do it.

@sparklerbombg There is a paper you have to sign before you sign the contract for airforce EOD. It basically says that EOD is not a direct combat job and their mission is not to engage enemy personnel but there is the possibility of getting into a combat situation while outside the wire. (please note that this is not word for word)

@Nodgnal Navy EOD are trained to dive, jump and act as Assult teams. Ive had Army Infantry say they Navy EOD did a better job then Army and Air Force EOD.

@3aman8 Every branch gets trained at the Navy EOD school at Eglin AFB Florida. So how could one branch be better at the job than another when they all get the same training? Granted Navy EOD does get the extra training you mentioned, making them more versatile, and they are trained in underwater EOD skills as well.
