Early in the morning I’ll be her man

  • @gauvinchris yep and in Hamilton last night as well! There's a couple videos of them covering it on youtube: watch?v=RydHDOS0AV4

  • @gauvinchris They also covered in Montreal last night. I was there.

  • @gauvinchris it was amazing in Montreal. sick sick cover. they did it great justice.

  • @gauvinchris But it's more "Donce Donce Donce" in their version. Awesome, though. ;)

  • @gauvinchris very very true. SO good, and such a crowd pleaser (obviously).

  • D-45

  • The four dislikes were obviously misclicks..

  • D-41, 42 or 45? Anyone know?

  • Red hot chili peppers next cover?

on my channel.....please leave honest comments good or bad, thanks a lot....Neil is god

  • I've a version recorded in cincinnati music hall 10-feb-1970.... on an unplugged show

  • I love this song. Amazing artist. I'll dance with you Neil!

  • the lag makes his performance muppet-esque

  • 11-12-10..to a living legend..Happy Birthday Neil Young..your music will live on forever.

  • How can people dislike this?! Really?!

  • Next to Last Thoughts on WG, this is the sh*t!

  • What a poet..amazing..he is lovely. I would have loved to dance with him back then. He was hot!

  • Still amazing after all these years!

  • Neil Young sang the songs of Neil Young.

Hehehe. Made me chortle. Beautiful video. I want his boots.

  • I cougn't bare to hear it norfing a brand new day because of things to do with "other than neil.".I like sedan delivery and most else,One song stands out and its rather overplayed i shall now

    Martin D-45!

  • mississippi mud never touched her fingers

  • @ericbruno3 California sand lies in her hand.

  • can't mime ;) <3

  • This song has been haunting me recently since I watched the Massey Hall show (which I realize is not video from that show). cheers.

  • in the beginning, he was going to say to the audience to join in with making noise and clapping if they wanted but looks like hes been reading this crowd all night and just said forget it. if you listen to live at massey hall 71, this song brings the whole place down. what a show that was....

  • @Cincinnatianer The audience during this entire concert was like a big blob of Stepford Wives!

  • @headstock48 : It's called "listening." People used to go to concerts to listen to music. We were stupid that way.

  • @MegaCalabash No offense, but I saw Neil Young in the 70's where he played an acoustic set, and we were a lot more into him than this audience, by far. It's not that I don't listen at a concert. This audience just seems a little stiff. On a different note, a more positive note, do you play the calabash?

  • It is so pathetic that this amazing song is not in the featured list when you search 'dance dance dance'

It is plagued by rap, hip hop, funk punk and other SHIT genres. So very sad.

    Jordan

  • @foleyxl18 Rap, hip hop, funk, and punk all have some great music. Some shit, some awesome. Just like folk and rock. I mean, not all folk and rock is great like Neil Young. I think there's great music of all kinds.

  • @headstock48 I totally agree. I get tired of seeing the stupid stuff people write on Youtube, saying that all rap sucks, or that classic rock is the best genre ever. It's absurd. There's good and bad music of all genres. Definitely.

  • @headstock48 couldnt of said it any better : ]

  • Neil Young is a genius

  • I wonder if he was going to say "if ya'll want to dance" lol

  • Neil Young sings song he wrote when he was a teenager.

  • I hear quite a few divergent influences in this song--he's got a greater background under his belt than he lets on.

  • sounds a lot like 'love is a rose'

  • @Jwo32 It's exactly the same melody to me... maybe somebody knows some background info about this?

  • Absolutely love the Massey Hall Version!

  • this take me back to the day when i was young

  • I have a not too well recorded copy of this on VHS tape, it was broadcast on British TV about 15 years ago? happened to record it by accident as the tape ran on after recording something else! Bit of luck!! Maybe I should transfer it to DVD

  • Great version on Crazy Horse "Gone Dead Train" brilliant album.

  • Someone knows the name of this concert? is it available on cd?

  • It's Neil at the BBC. Neil Young in Concert. The only way I've been able to find it is in torrents, and I've not heard of a CD version of it.

  • I'm going to look for it ! Thanks for the info!!!

  • You're quite welcome. :)

  • Live AT Massey Hall 1971 On Dvd Has It.- I Think.

  • No, that's a completely different concert. This is from Neil at the BBC (UK) , Massey Hall is in Canada.

  • I Meant You Can Find The The Song - Dance Dance On That DVD And The Box Set Has A CD With In In MP3 Format. I was somewhat aware there two different concert man.

  • @stagesofcoma yeah thats it,at Massey Hall the crowd was clapping tehir hands with this song!

  • @stagesofcoma Just a hint... If there is a Torrent of it.. There was a DVD of it. BTW not smart to say u got it as a torrent since thats illegal uploading of stolen footage :P

  • @stagesofcoma uploading and downloading*

  • Yeah I saw this on the BBC Crown Jewels

  • Crazy Horse 1st album,Class Song.

  • @darkhorse017 this is neil young live at massey hall i think 1970 but it's definetly on C.D.

  • @jbnasty2894 Thank you!

  • @darkhorse017

You can burn the whole session, i have it on a dvd, its worth the while!

  • @darkhorse017 -- also search for Neil at Royce Hall, UCLA 1971. Same tour, fantastic show, which I was at. Lots of clips from it on Youtube.

  • anyone know what guitar he is playing ?

    I love it !

  • Martin D-45

  • очень хорошо, я люблю слушать Нылу Ёнгу

  • Means you have taste. Congratulations

  • I think I like Neil Young. Something about this sound sounds...right. Ag. I can't even explain it.

  • you think?!??!?!?

  • Love it! Learning it on guitar nearly there!!

  • good music and vid thats all to say

  • he rocks! looks like my cuz Reg lol

  • who said that? lol .......... I agree!

  • how does he do the delay thing with his mouth, awesome

  • He's not doing it, the video is just out of sync

  • you are some retard.

  • Haha! Funniest comment I've read in a while

  • are you serious?

  • no, i was just joking

  • It's an unfortunate effect of uploading an AVI to YouTube. The video I have syncs up.

  • It takes true Canadian talent to sing 2 seconds out of sync with the sound. Sadly he hardly ever does this trick live.

  • @drakur31 What do you mean? Please, write here the time when it he does it, I'd like to know. Thanks

  • @drakur31 He uses highly advanced audio-visual application manipulation and top-secret special effects techniques. It's a little-known fact that Neil Young is a technological wizard, and he can do just about anything under the sun with a microphone, a video camera, and a cheap video editing program.

  • @drakur31

It's just a glitch/bug in the video that happend in the converting. No biggie. Have it a lot of times xD

  • @drakur31 LMFaO

  • quite similar to love is a rose

  • Perhaps it is meant to!

It is just Neil Yooung doing what he does , so naturally.

    Short but sweet , Thankyou.

  • lol...yeah duh...he rewrote dance,dance,dance into love is a rose...

  • my neil young fav song <3

  • What's your problem? I never said he doesn't have.

  • wtf are you on?

  • those where the fastest credits

man neil young is one of a kind

  • "Yaw'll wanna - y'knaw". Neil almost asks the audience to clap along, but its too much effort. Then he does this. A huge talent for 40 years.

  • Love this song!

  • is this playback or live

  • live!

  • We love you Neil!! See this girl dance?

  • dude Neil Young is 100% Canadian and proud of it.

  • I've touched Mississipi mud,once. K

  • American Indian from Canada: about 24-25 years old in this Massey Hall performance.

  • Is he really? I heard him say in an interview that everyone thought he was because of his clothing, and he never went on to state whether he actually is or not. He does have some distinctly Native American features, though, so I still wonder.

He was 25 years, three months and 11 days old here.

  • Dude, you are making shit up. Neil renamed Crazy Horse. They used to be called The Rockets (you wanna play the song game? He wrote "Running Dry (Requiem For The Rockets)" for them). Wanna try and make up the names of the guys in the band, too? Sheesh. Scott Young, Neil's dad, was Canadian. His mom, Edna (Rassy) Ragland was American. Neil was born in Toronto, Canada. When Neil was 12, his parents divorced and he and his mom moved to Winnepeg ("Don't Be Denied").

  • This isn't Massey Hall, this is from the bbc studios in england.

  • neil young wasnt born in the states and he isnt native. he was born in ontario. the onlyt thing close to true you said was that he moved to winnipeg. so quit pulling random facts out of your ass.

  • yes he is 100% canadian and not native lol

  • Does anybody know what guitar Neil is playing in Massey Hall version? It doesn't sound like Martins.

  • This might be one of the simplest but most profound songs ever. Brilliant! Love Neil.

  • I sort of did a lesson in my profile if anyone wants to learn the song

I don't know if this counts as advertising, but I think someone was looking for it earlier, so I hope not >_>

  • Lessons are good, I'm not gonna bitch at you for putting this. In fact, hell, I might eventually check it out and see if I can learn it, but I'm nowhere near there on skill yet. x_x

  • I've never had a pickled egg.. ever. Am I missing out or what?! Neil 4ever

  • Just a 26 year old with a weird voice and a guitar he can play with his eyes closed: brilliant.

  • I haven't seen this video in SO long! Thanks for posting it. I love it.

  • I like this more then "love is a rose" which is basically tis song rewritten as bad fog of loneliness was rewritten into the needle and the dmage done.

  • love the song, love the player,

love the trippy edited live video also

    :S

  • "...love is a rose but you better not pick it..."

  • How sweet and i love this guy.. Neil....

  • Nothing better in life than Neil and a guitar, is there?

  • 'most people' polled thought Bush's war was a good idea...in 2003. Duh. Be patient with the young and uneducated...Neil is for the ages. Can't take anything away from him, ever. Kieran who? Maybe he's good TOO, (is it a guy?) but I love Neil since 196? and he has 40 years of REAL integrity to love him for. Long may U dance...

  • Lol, those comments I left were actually responses to comments left by some troll who decided to bash Neil. I told them off and banned them. I have no idea who the Keiran is they were talking about, either. Neil is my everything.

  • Haha...

  • "The way most people like it"... um, first of all, how do you know what most people prefer? Second of all, who cares? If you think what's-his-name does it better, fine and dandy, but don't start arguments with people on a NEIL YOUNG video. Go find a Kieran vid of it and say how much better it is there, not here.

  • i need tabs for this so bad,...

  • Why? You can see exactly where his hands are. Plus, you've got the recording to work with.

Are you a guitar player or ain't ya? Sheesh!

  • yea , sorry i was busy , i didnt have the time,.. but ive got it on lock down now...he just plays his "A' a little differant

  • Your words fall upon deaf ears here. No one can touch Neil Young.

  • na well kieran makes it more dancing type and thats the type of music i like. everyones got a different taste u no.

  • But... it's NEIL YOUNG.

NOBODY, and I repeat- NOBODY does it better than Neil Young.

  • HOW ABOUT U LISTEN TO NEIL?

  • gracias por compartir este video

  • No matter what kind of mood I'm in....this song puts a smile on my face. :-)

  • Neil has a way of doing that. :)

  • a hidden gem for sure thanks for posting

    and the quality is superb

  • I love this song. It shows off Neil's playful nature. I didn't know he had played this at the bbc show. (i've never actually seen the concert just the videos on here)

  • I have this old song recorded from a bootleg and I always loved it. Some months ago I tried to find it on you tube but nothing to do. Today by chance here it is. Thank you very much and long may you run. Gio.

  • check out groovemotif's NY mix, includes this, excellent.

  • Hey like thanx babe, I realy appreciate this, dont he look great =} xx
