This show beat family guy by miles

Family Guy has moments but when you seat there for jokes lasting 10 mins long, it gets annoying

They do have a lot of crap on adult swim now. All the good shows (futurama, home movies, mission hill) seem to get pulled and replaced by crap only people who are as high as hell would enjoy. (i think the people who wrote most of it was high too!) not cool.

I believe it was a financial decision. Traditionally animated and painted. In the beginning they used paints from the studio that were in stock but weren't really used much so the first few episodes were alot cheaper until they started running out and expenses skyrocketted. Networks don't like spending money for quality theyd rather send out crap to the 3rd world and have it assembled there for dirt cheap

I'm not sure what comment your responding to, but if the question is why the series was canceled, you seem to be misinformed. the series was cancelled because WB found that after 4 epeisodes aired over the course of the year, nobody was watching, so instead of giving it time, they pulled the plug quite fast. Similar to the Clerks animated series actually.

That's a great question. Probably because they wanted to move out a great TV show to gamble on a piece of shit. Same with Clone High, cancelled after 1 season and replaced with "Punked".

They cancelled it because after 4 episodes aired over a full year, nobody was watching, mainly due to poor advertising, and WB pulled the plug while still in production. And to be fair, clone high was great, but at least we got a full season, and even though it ended on a cliffhanger, you did get a sense of closure with it.

This was right at the heart of the adult cartoon boom. The simpsons (which oakley and wienstein also worked on) had acheived great sucsess, king of the hill was popular, soon, like Gwen said in the MH pilot "everybody and their brother had one" 1999 is when futurama started, family guy, [adult swim] (spaceghost had already been going for some time, this is when sealab, ATHF, Birdman, and Brak started), oblongs, and many many more. WB canceled it because after 4 episodes nobody was watching.
