@Undefined350z it's not mine but i have a speed 3, which has the same motor. i removed the muffler, replaced the resonator with an aero turbine 2525 muffler and added a test pipe. i have a pic of it on my profile, but haven't had a chance to take a good vid. sounds pretty similar to this, but a bit louder
@Undefined350z my entire cat back is custom built. got the aero from ebay lol.....got it for $99.95 from seller "mandrelbends".....couldn't pass up the deal. test pipe was custom welded by a shop in MA called boston dyno. ran me $100. since the car comes with 2 cats (technically), he cut out the post cat, then replaced it with a section of 2.5" piping. the muffler quiets it down a bit, but I have a friend with the same work with no muffler. it's unreasonably loud lmao
@Undefined350z just uploaded a dyno vid. it's kind of long, you can clearly hear the difference in the exhaust note. no excuses for why I haven't uploaded something by now and i've had the car for 2 years lol

And yes, I have heard plenty of riced out hondas and stis, and yes, while they sound different, they also sound terrible. dont know what your point is quoting two other ricer engines... have you heard a flat six? now that is a small engine that sounds great. not like this jap scrap.

You state that 4 bangers are rice engines, which in my eyes, is a very irrelevant opinion. All countries have a 4 cylinder engine. So getting to my point, you aren't lucid in your understanding of what "RICE" really is. Yes, i can agree, some honda's are rice, but you shouldn't be judging the whole 4 cylinder concept.

Is there an intake on this car? I've got a cold-air intake and a racepipe in my MS6 with just the mufflers unbolted, and it seems much louder than yours....
How big are the pipes? Are you still on the stock exhaust and just did a muffler delete? Cause it looks like the stock Y pipe on it. I'm planning to do a 3 inch pipe from the turbo into a Y split out the back........ no mufflers, no cats... just pipe ;)
If you have a speed 6 than I wouldn't do that. Get a downpipe from the turbo then bolt on your 3 inch exhaust ( I take it you mean custom piping). Downpipes need to bolt on properly to the turbo and allow proper airflow.
a downpipe is essentially pipe.... I have seen the catless downpipe sold from CPE and the one from corksport. It's basically just pipe and all I would need is to weld on an "adapter" flange at the end, so it bolts to the turbo properly, not a big issue, my friend has built them for several cars and has such a setup on both his SRT-4 and his E30 bimmer. It's just going to be pipe with no cats or mufflers... almost like a race pipe on track cars :D
