I went to see Fleetwood Mac in the late 80'ies only because The Adventures were the support group ... where are they now ?!
Remember walking along Upsdell Avenue in N London with my Sony walkman on listening to this on a mild Autumn evening just as it started raining...... fab !!
If you think about it this one page has over 30.000 hits. Now im no mathematician but i do know that that in sales if it were re-released would be a chart entry. Its not like its dated either coz the production is so good.
@razmo40 It might not be live but few bands use guitar leads anymore. They have a picup on a small box usually on their belt,a signal from the guitar is picked up by the amp which sends out the sound.Check out any concerts I think you'll be surprised.
@pete7356 - Yes i know that pete baby i was in a band for 8 yrs and backed up bands like deacon blue and the proclaimers. But that kind of technology didnt exist back then it was stuff like trantec who were developing the idea but it was very unreliable because of the battery usage etc.
Im not dissing the band either coz their writing and playing skills are not in question and i even bought the single and the album.
Fantastic! This is my favourite. My brother recently put Theodore and Friends on a CD for me, as my cassttee has been played so much it's a bit worn out! Great to see this live clip, why weren't they bigger?? A travesty..
Years ago a girlfriend gave me a crappy cassette with one side of this album. I listened to that tape a lot longer than we were together. I just love the songs. I eventually found a used version of this album on the net, but my turntable died years before I got it.
Hearing this now, really brings back a lot of memories. THANKS FOR POSTING!!!
@1xnedra I have all 4 albums on both vinyl and on CD, Theodore and friends is probably the hardest CD to get and can cost a small fortune to buy albeit it is a great album
You know I am so pleased that interest in this band has been re- ignited - they were so good - should have been right up there with other stadium bands like Simple Minds and U2
You know everytime I see classic videos of the '80s, I feel different. It brings back memories. Thank you very much for posting. That's what I call music!
Hello all, I was a young DJ in a private radio station at that time in Calabria (south of Italy) and I always played Adventures and other 80s hits. It's great to know they are still araund and back
Glad to help.. I bought it myself..I remember this song from my school days and in '88 they released broken land. They were such a great band, but they sadly weren't that well known.
Saw The Adventures play this time last week in Belfast - they're still as good after all these years! 'Feel the Raindrops' definitely one of the highlights of the show. Even got to speak to them afterwards!
i have been singing this song to myself for 20 years i was begining to think i was the only person in the world that new it thank you so much for this, i am singing along with a tear in my eye and all those wonderful memories i have of the 80s swimming around in my head:)
Join the club Sarah, I'm right there with you. It's funny how some groups make it and some don't, regardless of how good or bad they are. The Adventures were always my band as a teenager and it's nice to suddenly stumble across a whole load of people on YouTube who feel the same!
@NameCC8687 When i was a youngster this was MY band discoverd on my own..It wasn't to be part of something or someone ..It was my heart in a way you know
this is good music. shame i never heard it before. Music Choice on cable tv or satellite radio could give good songs like this new life but they too play the same 200-300 songs.
got theodore and friends on an old c90 tape these r 1 of the betta bands from 80s now ive found em again fanx ta utube gonna dive into tape collection n play the whole album its fantastico .
Yeah I have "Theodore and Frieds" on original 80s vinyl too plus later CD issue, a BBC transcription disc, all their LPs and numerous singles. This track is one of my favourites as were all 4 1st LP singles. Saw them live at Newcastle City Hall before they had a hit when there were only about 200 people there. I love Love & Money too.
Love the band and this song is one of my favourites. Used to play the cassettes to death back in the 80's. Must try and get hold of them on CD.
