  • @CookiesAndGuns95, the rear cylinders were reversed because if they were not, the firebox would have to fit between the drivers, resulting in a smaller firebox, less grate are, and thus less power. There is a link to a website for the engine facility that service almost all of pennsy experimentals, but it wont let me post it in the comments. Sorry. Try looking up "crestline prr engine facility"

  • It's really a shame that once the PRR finally perfected their duplex locomotives they had to get rid of them for diesels.

  • love that locomotive

  • The PRR sure had some cool locomotives.

  • @ColinTheAwesomest

Dang I was going to say that! :D

  • any idea if they will do the q1 in ho i know they did the q2 but i need a s1 and s2 and a q1 for my layout so any ideas

  • I never understood why the 2nd drivers were reversed. If someone knew, please tell me. Thanks.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 all i know is that the rear-driving-cyclinders were a poor choice. Because the Cyclinders would wear out due to the hot, dusty firebox.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 shortened the wheel base on the drivers

  • To bad pennsy didnt spare any of these engines.

  • what is better? 3rd rail or lionel? I have only seen lionel, and in the large scale o, they are really nice

  • i like the long tenders

  • man, the Pennsylvania railroad had some of the most retro steam locomotives ever built.

  • but you have to admit...they were pretty cool

  • That's what I said.. <8s

  • I really like the cab window and tender streamlining. Beautiful engine.

  • wow...........great video!!!! ive been wanting to see a video of the q1 and finally i did

    Thanks
