@weisserstein your right thats why he is in the songwriters hall of fame [back around 1970 the songwriters hall of fame was a little behind the times they were just getting around to inducting hoagy carmichael my father met the treasurer leonard whitcup there he wrote a lot of old songs like take me back to my boots and saddles now they have burt bacharach ,brian wilson...] nice fingerpicking on this video .

My husband and I saw him perform this in Rockford, IL, last Fri. night. He has sadly lost that upper vocal range, but what a guitar picker! Wonderful guy & great memories of the 60's!
