Is there way to put a Camera on board the Aircraft? And controll it by watching it on a monitor screen? Lol, that be so easy then to keep up with the aircraft.
There's no real smooth way to transition to a jet though. They're a beast of their own- These things have the systems of a real airplane, and are much heavier than any prop job. But their size tends to make them much more stable than any prop. If you want to get good at flying quick, I suggest that you DO NOT get a large aircraft- they're too stable. I learned on a .25 sized trainer.
You know, any plane will be good to learn on. I flew gliders and prop jobs for seven years before I got into jets. But when you start to think "jet" you'll probably wanna get yourself a good pusher prop (or a ducted fan)- learning to fly without the aid of accelerated slipstream (aka prop-wash) is important, it leads to a loss of control effectiveness at a higher speed than you would experience with tractor prop.
That is increadible!!!!!! I have been watching your videos and its unbeliveable. Got any tips because Im getting my frist Plane? How you keep it in sight and what would you reccommend?
Thanks. It's really all just practice. You build faster and faster planes and it just becomes natural- you begin to feel what the plane is doing rather than just seeing it.
Well, you should probably get a glow fuel/gas powered model first to get used to the stresses of running an engine. Also, you want something that could at least hit 150, like a warbird or something. A model with a pusher prop is great so you can get used to flying without induced airflow- higher stalling speeds. Log a few hundred flights on that and find yourself a good jet pilot to mentor you through your first build.
hey thanks! lots of practice... after doing it for so long you almost begin to feel the movement of the jet rather than see it. I know that sounds lame, but it's the truth. Sounds like a real jet cause it is a real jet!
