There are a lot more people without crazy autistic gifts that could rival his intelligence with a good education. When I tried to move to more advanced classes in middle school they said my grades weren't good enough. A little more than a year into high school I was getting 100's on mid-terms, and in college it is sad to see how ignorant people are. With better child-rearing from parents and a better education system even people who don't get such grades could be getting into college at this age
