  • Holy!!! WOOOOW

  • Am I the only one who thinks his mom is gorgeous and/or one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen?

  • Bet he thinks a candy bar costs $100

  • There are a lot more people without crazy autistic gifts that could rival his intelligence with a good education. When I tried to move to more advanced classes in middle school they said my grades weren't good enough. A little more than a year into high school I was getting 100's on mid-terms, and in college it is sad to see how ignorant people are. With better child-rearing from parents and a better education system even people who don't get such grades could be getting into college at this age

  • A lot of people over emphasize DNA, yes it is the building block, but this child also has drive, passion, a great attitude, and amazing support systems. People must realize that when you excersize your brain in various ways, that you willl improve skills invovled in intelect and intelligence, being born without exceptional skills does not mean you cannot develop them yourself.

  • Wait 'till puberty hits...

  • is this a joke|?

  • lets get him on crack

  • X-MAN

  • I'd beat that kid up

  • Y U NO MAKE VIDEOS NO MORE GENERAL?!?!

  • @bregolingo even generals need vacations now and then

  • he's probably autistic

  • I hope he doenst burn out

  • Shut up real life Wesley!

  • i wonder if he will score a lot

  • Wil Wheaton was a prodigy too. An acting prodigy

  • @MoscAmer yeah something like that.

  • Good for him. I hope he continues to succeed in his adulthood. And i hope he isn't hindered by people like some of these commenters who fear intellectuals.

  • I'll have one apple pi, please.

  • I wonder how his brother feels.

On the one hand, he's a normal kid, who gets his kicks doing normal things like video games and probably sports, and his parents don't have to pay whatever expenses aren't paid by scholarships to send him to college before he's even masturbated.

On the other hand, he's not able to rake in 10s of thousands of dollars for his parents, isn't known locally by hundreds if not thousands of people, and didn't get a dateline special about him. Christmas will be awkward.

  • Stupid. Totally stupid. He's not a prodigy, just a smart alec.

  • Future sereal killer. Keep an eye on him or he will eat it.

  • Why is that scary zombie interviewing that scary kid?

  • Real life Wesley Crusher ? In what way ? Wesley Crusher was the most annoying character on TV.

  • @quimbyt in that he was a boy genius

  • @CIarKent I don`t know or think so, when ever I watch STTNG and Wesley comes on I turn off the sound because I found the character so annoying.

  • @quimbyt i meant that the idea behind the character of Wesley, at least in the first season, was that he was a genius kid who could understand higher dimensions and mathematics beyond anyone else

  • ★★★★★

  • Someone needs to tell this kid to invent warp drive already.

  • these people just happened to grab a few DNA switches, nothing fascinating about it, and nothing will of it

  • 10:12 OOHH...big genius still needs a calculator (lmao)

  • @KakashiBallZ Yes. EVERYONE uses calculators. Just because you live in a cave does not mean he has to.

  • hey look, a kid who's a bit faster at learning than I am! And he got parental support. I got shoved into normal studies... -.-

  • This kid cannot be a real life Wesley Crusher. I don't have the urge to kick this kid's ass.

  • This kid is a bit creepy ...

  • Shut Up Wesley!

  • @farnsworth3000 Hahaha :) I doubt anyone is going to tell him that. If they do, he can just blow up their mind with his own.

  • XKCD poster @11:27 :D

  • if that is so, why has no one told him to shut up or impaled him with a bayonet?

  • I love how when the old guy says "absent minded professor", the camera pans to a David Lynch looking motherfucker.

  • HELL its not a fear of math. i just cant remember ANYTHING i learn. mostly numbers. i would do like 3 math questions then start to imagine stuff (funny stuff) and then look back down at my paper and go OH CRAP I FORGOT HOW TO DO THIS! it happened alot.

  • i bet he is very annoying to hang out with

  • Übernerd! He will one day lead all us nerds. Bravo and heil Jake!

  • He is suppose to be all smart, but instead of showing him do tests to show that they just keep talking about it over and over. Shut your mouth and put it to the test. Action speak louder than words. I want to see him do stuff not hear about his memory.

  • this kid will invent the warp drive

  • @jeffryder9 he'll probably change his name during WW3 so that the Eastern Coalition doesn't get their hands on him. his new name will be Zephren

  • True theories and discoveries in science are accomplished by hard work and mistakes

people who are "born" like this are such arrogant cocks.

  • 13 years from now... knock, knock, knock, Penny! knock, knock, knock, Penny! knock, knock, knock, Penny!

  • A bit arrogant, Jake.

  • @GarlicPudding i think he deserves to be much more than arrogant..

  • Give this kid LSD and he'll be unstoppable.

  • well he hasent invented anything, he just remembers things that other people has made

  • @enkopingsbo hes still learning a bit. just give him some time and he'll invent something soon you'll see.

  • the child version of Hugh Darrow from Deus Ex.

  • Autistic savant

  • He'll probably end up at Pacific Tech with Chris Knight.

  • He's going to get laid at age 20, then he'll start experimenting with drugs to "enhance" his thinking... he will go down a dark road... by age 30 he will be a greeter at Walmart... divorced twice... and trying to make child support payments.

  • @RichGilly Yes lol The females will fuck you over surely :D

  • "the diagnosis was autopsy"

    *Picard Facepalm*

  • I can see him burning out pretty soon.

  • he reminds me more of anakin skywalker than wesley crusher...

  • It's the fourth dimension what do you expe- SHUT UP WESLEY!

  • Jake is gay. No im serious, im pretty sure he is gay which is great :)

  • Sherlock Holmes the early days

  • I sent Will Wheaton this video on twitter.

  • I hope when he grows up he learns some humility.

  • @duderanch18237 I don't think so... I think he has the right to be arrogant in this instance. The boy is a GENIUS, and has the right to be prideful.

  • @tannerwaterbury Because of people like you giving him this free pass he's going to be even worse when he grows up.

  • @duderanch18237

It's not arrogance in the way you'd think. If he's autistic, then to him it's just a matter of fact, not something that makes him think he's better than others.

  • @VigilanteNighthawk I totally agree... but his parents should be at least trying to humble him a little bit. He doesn't know any better.

  • @duderanch18237 He SHOULD be humbled in some aspects of life...like for example: suppose he is proven wrong on a theory he comes up with, yet he continues to act as though he is right, and everyone else is wrong, even though that theory that he came up with has been proven time and time again that its wrong. That would humble him. Now, if he was absolutely right in a theory that he has proven, don't you think he has that right to be prideful? He did something no one else did.

  • He's good at memorizing and taking the knowledge he knows to problem solve only problems that he can solve with what he knows.

In all honesty, I don't see this kid attempting to actually come up or truly solve anything that can't already be solved via "common sense." (Common sense in, really fucking smart scientist thinking.)

  • Who knew 60 minutes was still on.

  • So Wesley was autistic...

    Of course it makes sense!

  • More like Sheldon Cooper than Wesley Crusher.

  • Cool. Make it so, Jake :)

  • Little shit.

  • Know what's funny? I can't think of a truly innovative technology made by a kid "genius". They were all made by engineering teams of typical people. I think they're just curiosities more than amazing leaders of industry.

  • @Lemnx well Mozart was a "kid genius"

  • Punchline for this video : EVERYONE BUT JAKE.

  • All kids his age often tend to have an air of smugness/doucheyness, no matter how smart they are...least he's human.

  • People didn't hate Wesley because he was smart; they hated him because he was a teenager who was often more capable than the experienced, qualified crew of the flagship of the Federation; supposedly the best of the best. Plus he would get special favors, like the helmsman's position just because his mum was the captain's love interest!

Good luck to Jake. I think he's going to have a hard time later in life though. Will also be difficult not to feel superior around us 'normals.

  • TASTEH PI

  • @Whosthatmiscreant Ps. I SAVED MYSELF FROM MY OWN WORLD.

  • Dr. Sheldon Cooper, the early years.

  • Funnily enough, I know a Jake who adores Star Trek but would think this Jake was an Uber-nerd.

  • The Randy Newman impersonator is hilarious.

  • I've always imagined what it would be like to allow your brain to function properly.

Unfortunately, my brain is not that advanced....nor are others.

I feel very ashamed and sad. =(

  • Heh....kid reminds me of me when I was his age. Too bad I was stupid and let everything go.

  • Ok...now i feel really dumb. This kid's a genius!

  • Pune is going to ruin this kid.

  • 12:02 Yeah! Nothing is random in physics. Whatever.

  • @Treknologist I'd like to see him tackle Quantum Mechanics with that assumption

  • Arxiv appears to have a revision to his paper AFTER it was published: arxiv.org/pdf/1108.6083v1.pdf

  • Poor child. Born with intelligence in the USA of all places!

  • @prilstrudel

its the best place for having a such an intelligence !

if he was born in idk china he was test subject or slave to make weapons !

in africa well he was prob getting water for his family etc..

  • Sheldon Cooper?

  • More like the real Data with emotions.

  • @balenceofterrore1 this is what Wesley originally supposed to be, a boy genius. unfortunately they turned his character into an annoying brat who couldn't even pass the academy exams

  • He's going to be a future writer on 'Futurama'.

  • Here's an idea Jake: when you get your own place have all the walls, windows, and floors covered in dry erase material.

  • I'm a 20 year old 2nd Year Physics Undergrad and he really makes me feel stupid.

  • I knew someone who was like this. Then they went to school. They weren't like this for long. Shame.

  • Sheldon Cooper... :D

  • Yeah I found some videos of his kid while back. What I wonder is whats its going to be like in 20+ years from now for him? Wonder if he'll invent something or do research that leads to some breakthrough as significant to progress as the transistor that would be pretty boss.

  • @ssjwes maybe he'll invent warp drive

  • @ssjwes

Not much will happen, these "genius" kids are notoriously unreliable and just equalize will average scientist later on. It's just a temporary spurt.

  • @ssjwes or nervous breakdown?

  • Wow his parents did the right thing!

  • On the plus side, he'll have no trouble remembering that LONG security code you need to lockout the enterprise. You know, the one Data used in Brothers

  • Oh lord, he has ego the size of a solar system.

I don't mean to undermine his talent but even now he is showing evidence of emotional disorders.

He is going to be such an asshole in the future!

  • @LechuCzechu I only hope he won't turn out to be like those genetically engineered guys in DS9 who thought they were better than normal people and thought they should decide things for everyone else

  • Bazinga.

  • when those hormones start to break down his mind he aint laughing no more

  • @enkopingsbo Can you please tell us the name of the hormone that can destroy the brain?

  • @Destroyer4700 It's the same one that makes boys want to screw anything with two legs, a vag and a pulse.

  • @nominalvelocity i asked for the name. Not for some weird sentence.

  • @enkopingsbo hehe yeah. I had the friend at school who was incredibly smart and able academically. Straight A student. Then he turned 18 and just wanted to drink and hang out with girls. He actually did pretty badly in his final exams.

  • The only thing that can stop him is a French soldier's bayonet.

    QAPLA!

  • @takerdust lol

  • he died. rip

  • @whitelighter27club Source?

  • came here to write "SHUT UP, JAKE!"

then I thought to myself: I don't want this kid to shut up, EVER!

  • This kid rocks!

  • - knock knock

    - whos there?

    - cancer

  • Watch his eyes when he is trying to remember something! always up it's said that this position of the eyes put the brain in alpha wave length and made it more efficient for learning they should test that..
