yesterday gas was $4.09 a gallon at Shell in Benson, Arizona ( about 40 miles east of Tucson ) yet in Tucson at I-10 and Congress at Circle K I filled up the car for only $3.51 a gallon. What a comparison, glad I filled up there! cheapest gas in Arizona.
There was a traffic jam on I-10 from Wilmot Rd. to about Houghton Rd. I scoffed at the Speed Limit 75 sign I saw just east of Wilmot, it might as well have said 15. That's how slow traffic went.

Well in a decade I'd like to see our gas prices drop. I doubt it'll happen. For all I know, the gas prices will probably be up to $10 per gallon. I can't afford a a new fuel-efficient or electric car. My Skylark is doing okay for now but that's because I'm a broke ass college student that has to settle. save me $3,000. i seriously doubt it. i drive a 1991 chevy cavalier with a 2.2L 4 cylinder engine. it gets 21/29 for a combined mileage of 24 mpg. a 2011 chevy cruze with a 1.8L 4 cylinder gets 22/35 combined 27. hardly much of an improvement, in fact the annual fuel costs for the cruze is only 200 dollars less per year than the much older cavalier. that older cavalier is a vehicle i can service myself, no payments, and cheaper insurance. buying a new car DOES NOT save MONEY period
Hey, Obama, gas prices are well above $4/gallon in several states, and the national average is rapidly approaching $4/gallon. Oil prices aren't that far removed from their 2008 high of $147/barrel. Our economy is STILL completely screwed up, countless people are living paycheck-to-paycheck, and the few jobs that remain in the private sector are worth less and less every successive week. The American People don't CARE about what happens 11 or 12 years into the future. We want REAL solutions NOW.

yesterday gas was $4.09 a gallon at Shell in Benson, Arizona ( about 40 miles east of Tucson ) yet in Tucson at I-10 and Congress at Circle K I filled up the car for only $3.51 a gallon. What a comparison, glad I filled up there! cheapest gas in Arizona.
There was a traffic jam on I-10 from Wilmot Rd. to about Houghton Rd. I scoffed at the Speed Limit 75 sign I saw just east of Wilmot, it might as well have said 15. That's how slow traffic went.

Well in a decade I'd like to see our gas prices drop. I doubt it'll happen. For all I know, the gas prices will probably be up to $10 per gallon. I can't afford a a new fuel-efficient or electric car. My Skylark is doing okay for now but that's because I'm a broke ass college student that has to settle. I wanna see this promise actually carry though unlike the other ones. Mkthanks.

save me $3,000. i seriously doubt it. i drive a 1991 chevy cavalier with a 2.2L 4 cylinder engine. it gets 21/29 for a combined mileage of 24 mpg. a 2011 chevy cruze with a 1.8L 4 cylinder gets 22/35 combined 27. hardly much of an improvement, in fact the annual fuel costs for the cruze is only 200 dollars less per year than the much older cavalier. that older cavalier is a vehicle i can service myself, no payments, and cheaper insurance. buying a new car DOES NOT save MONEY period

Our economy is STILL completely screwed up, countless people are living paycheck-to-paycheck, and the few jobs that remain in the private sector are worth less and less every successive week. Oil reserves and prices are probably the most crucial pressing issues of our world today. Yes wars can happen over it. We are all depending heavily on oil. President Obama is doing the correct thing; to withdrawn from direct war with Libea (wrong spelling), and not to give weapon to frighters but to support freedom in Middle East indirectly. This can save a lot of oil and avoid oil price to rise irrationally.
President Obama implements the correct foreign action, which can help his to win the next presidency election. At the same time, he should persuade China to deploy more green energy production.

As I said, scientists have found that the ice sheets at the poles, while they can increase in surface area as a result of cold winters, are extremely thin and structurally weak. Follow the money AND the scientists that leave those organizations and why. ALL of the leading scholars and PHDs? REALLY??? Only 20% of IPCC scientists deal with climate. You don't find that ODD? The emails were hacked and exposed... you ignore THAT too. Why don't you read about FORMER IPCC scientists? It's doesn't fit with what you WANT.

@TrueLight55 and what makes someone a "leading" PHD? If the IPCC picks the "leaders" and then those people find the data to be false, are they suddenly uneducated? Does their "leading" status suddenly go by the wayside? And you want to rely on NASA? Then why don't you consider that while Hansen is saying we're DOOMED, his supervisor, Theon is saying the data is manipulated and he "appreciates" the opportunity to add his name to the list of scientists that disagree with man made climate change.

@thotkrime It's called climate change now. Didn't you get the memo? Now wevery weather event can be blamed on man. The question isn't weather the climate has warmed slightly over the years, but whether man is the primary factor, or are we affecting it at the margins. I have an open-mid about it because I don't know. The climate models have been wildly inaccurate to date in their 5 and 10 year predictions. Climatalogy is still in its infantcy. Perhaps some healthy skepticism isn't such a bad idea

Oil and gas are energy power of the past century, the 20th century. Just like steam was that of the 19th century.
That's why it is crucial for any foresighted developed nation to invest and develop green sustainable energy which is the future of energy power in this new century, otherwise they'll be left behind as other nations move on from oil and gas.
