Underworld Rise of the Lycans movie review by FOTFF

You have some points but you "killed" the movie.First of all: There's no more action in the first and second movie of Underworld than in this prequel.Second:The cast did a good job (They saved the movie!!).Third:Even with the very dark,blue images the action parts are good much better than the first movie.For me the movie is not for an Oscar prize but is good enough to watch.

I do agree with your points. I enjoy your reviews because we agree on about 90% of the points. For me personally, Kate Beckinsale didn't make the series on her own. She sure enhanced it, and sold tickets. For me though, one actor rarely makes a film. My personal favorite thing about "Rise of the Lycans" was that the character "Raze"(Forgive spelling) was actually explained and explored, not just another buff guy in the first, as he was played.

micheal sheen is a classicaly trained shakespearian actor as are ALL british actors and acresses. so of course the over body gestures are a given and its supposed to be romeo and juilet but with vampres and lycans its like romeo and juliet meets othello(because the lycans or lucian is lke Othello)

anywyas its a prequel meant to just fill in the backstory nothing more nothing less.

and underworld 4 is gonna be set after 2.

i like U3 becuase its meant to be a DRAMA not an ACTION FILM

I am personally a huge fan of the Underworld films, and I always thought that Lucians character deserved to be told in a deeper light and this movie gave it to me.

''By totally nailing his daughter'' thats funny.

I was really into the third movie, and the tease of the more older style vampire lore they showed in the begining of Evolution, was what got me excited.

But as stated, Im a huge fan of these and comic book movies, So, once again, Im bias

Firstly, great review as always, Fury, and secondly, I'm actually enticed by the new format, much to my own surprise.

I liked the old format a lot, so much that I was reluctant to see your new review, but when I did, I was surprised at how I could hear your voice clearly and drink in all the advertising. Not to mention that I'm going to check out some of these ads too.

As for the movie, I can't say much because I never really got into the series, so...in a word: "Meh"

Have you SEEN my video why I can't make the videos I used to?I'm 2 steps from being out the door and gone from youtube forever if I don't change the style. every single video I upload with a trailer gets hit with bogus copyright claims. This is my way to help other struggling channels and people who want to make videos outside of youtube but still get views. You can either close the window and listen to it as an audio review from now on knowing the ads have nothing to do with the review OR maybe check em out, who knows you might find something

Nice review. I still want to see this movie. If they make a Batman 3 with Catwoman. I hope either Kate Beckensale or Rhora Mitra play her. NOT ANEGLIA LOLIE!!! That would suck!!!! You also have to look on the bright side, at least Kate wasn't replaced. Unlike in Mummy 3's recasting!!!!

I didn't like the first two Underworld movies. I found them really really boring, and it seemed to be just aiming at Goth kids and those alike. So, i have no desire to see this movie.

I think the screen is drawing focus away from the actual review. I ended up closing down the screen so I could concentrate about what you were saying, instead of reading the words that constantly popped up.

hey RamuCastro,YouTube has made it impossible for people like me to make video presentations that go with what I am saying.I can't use trailers and audio clips or images so what am I left with?extending a still image of my logo for 5 minutes?The ads aren't meant to distract since people should now know that the only thing that pertains to the review is what I'm saying. The occasional ad might pop out to someone and they might find a channel they normally wouldn't have.

You are intersesting to listen too, and it's still better then reading and article or something like that. In any case from now on just know the videos are going to be just that, a work around what youtube is preventing me from doing.I try to contact studios directly to see if It's ok to rebroadcast their trailers,I normally get no response. The main benefit to this is more reviews will be made, next one will be Hulk vs Wolverine vs Thor. Should be fun!

mattyme91-I don't see it this way, changing my style and allowing other people to promote their work, lots of which has moved outside youtube and to other places that don't have ridiculous copyright control is my way of fighting. I still get to be heard, people still hear my work, people get to promote their stuff and it all falls under the guidelines of a squeeky clean youtube channel.

I know I'm not doing anything wrong it's just a system that's implemented to help partners feel they are actually "protecting" their intellectual property. I think this is a way to work around this issue. it's either this or show my goofy face to the masses which I think would be far more distracting than seeing channels advertise their sites.

Nournisms- the quality will eventually improve as I figure out this program I use better and render it correctly for youtubes limited upload capacity. It might be in fact boring to look at but blame youtube for that. the whole reason this is being done is because of Youtubes current state of affairs. Allowing studios and anonymous partners to block peoples hard work has gotten ridiculous and if I didn't do this frankly I would just leave youtube. they are just ads for other peoples work.

Kool, I love the new format. I thought it would just be a screen, but the shadow effect is great.

However, the one criticism I have is that the adverts, although great, seem a little too distracting. But this might have something to do with the fact I'm not very interested in hearing a review for this film. Just looking at the new format.

STHsuperMovies07- The shadow effect is basically to give the idea that I'm in a theater watching those ads that theaters give before and after a movie. The ads are for a way to get people to promote their sites, whether here on youtube or on other sites since youtube doesn't really do this well this is me trying to help. From now on people will know the screen is just that, ads, and they can choose to watch it or just listen, but as it stands youtube doesn't let us make video reviews like before

I really wanted more relationship time between Lucian and Sonja I think there was a really solid love story in there that they didn't explore. Plus Viktor, what a cold bastard but you really did feel like he loved his daughter , I pointed that out but this new director they chose, I think he could have done a little more justice to the story. it;s all good like I said it didn't butcher the series at all
