You should try support maokai. While he has no sustain for his lane partner, He has decent harss with sapling, as well as great peel/gank ability with his root and snare. And his ult just has support written all over it.

Am I the only one who likes Soraka as a support? I once played Sona and I can't say I was overwhelmed. Taric and Soraka are the supports I'd run (Kayle doesn't count, Hybrid Damage Kayle is best Kayle)

@Serperoth Eh, I dont really like soraka because her heal is forever on cooldown, but she IS really good, mainly for the mana sustain imo and the heal is bonkers when you do have it, plus if you lane with an ap (you usually get ad though) then it gives some extra damage with starfall. I personally prefer Alistar as a support because if my team is in trouble I can build him tank, his heals are ok (And lower cd) and he has amazing CC

@MrFoptop Hm. It does have a 12 second CD or something, but I think that any good support should run CDR items/masteries/runes. Plus, it heals for a good amount (about 300-400), similar to Taric's. I was just complaining about how nearly nobody picks Soraka in games I play. Well except me.

@Serperoth I actually played a ranked game with a Soraka supporting me while I played Ez, I went 23 and 5, so when i think about it Yeah shes a lot better then Sona, especially because of the mana, and the heals great, but it helps a lot to actually run heal as your summoner, you dont want to get caught while that heal is on CD. Sona just has the damage factor that Taric and Soraka dont have, I guess thats why people prefer her over the other supports, kind of the same with janna.

firstly, Cait does not stun, she roots with traps, theres a big difference. Second, vayne actually does have a stun, which is retardedly easy to hit on bottom lane with a cv babysitter. so yeah.

other than that, very nice little vid of decent team smacking rubbish team, not much fun in a game that goes 18 - 2.

Lastly, i think people don't play support champs because they're rather dull, with a low skill-cap and usually have shit-boring skills(no skill-shots ect.).

The only real way to play Sona these days is damage. The heal nerf upped her damage, especially if your Q buff is active. Just get her a sheen, a bunch of AP,and some CDR. You can be firing off ubercharged power chords literally every 4 seconds while maintaining all three buffs.

One of the things about LoL's look is that there's only two times you're going to lose your champion. In massive team fights, and in a crowd of creeps knocking down the nexus. It just seems to me you might have an easier time losing your hero in HoN.
