Hi, this is a fantastic series of videos!! I am going in two weeks for Child Welfare Scheme and was wondering-I have category 3 sport sunglasses, they seem incredibly dark. In your opinion would category 3 be dark enough? And also did you have any problems with your contact lenses while trekking, such as oxygen levels. Many thanks x
I certainly enjoyed your video/photos. Physically I could never do this, even 30 years ago in my younger years. But I admire you and others who do experience these adventures in life. You see firsthand a part of nature that few humans get to see, ever. That's exciting.
But at least we can view your travels through these photos. Would certainly love to have your trip reports on my YT channel or on my travel blogs. Thanks for sharing and best wishes as you continue your travels.
I'm going to trek next year and was thinking of organising the tour and guide when I arrived in Kathmandu, Would prefer to go with other people in a group and wondered how safe it would be for a girl on her own. Also how long in advance would you need to be in Kathmandu before you can get on a trek?
Love the video man! I've been dreaming of trekking to Nepal for years and I may have the opportunity to make it a reality in spring of 2012.
I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
1. I don't think I have the balls to do the full everest base camp trek but I'd like ot trek in the everest region. What do you think about trekking up to Tengboche or Pangboche?
2. Would you recommend going in March for good views?
Loved your vid. Just wondering did you take Diomixil ( i think thats what its called) as a precaution for altitude sickness? If so when did you start taking it and how much?
Also what time of the year did you travel? How cold did it get? Im going in december this year o the advice would be very helpful.
Love your videos, Especially the Nepal trip, I love the way you make it Easy for those of us, that are NOT professionaL CLIMBERS. I have a Bucket list to trek to everest BAase camp, You had a way of making me feel this is Possible. Thanks

hi. loved ur vid. i would like to do this trek with a strict budget. i would appreciate if you could help me with the contact details of any local guide. many thanks

I did the hippy trail to Kathmandu in the early 70's. Unfortunately I didn't have the time or money to do the base camp trek. Now I'm 57, got the money and desire. I'm wondering what my chances of making it all the way up to base camp would be? I'm reasonably fit.
excellent account of your trek, I was there in 2006, and there was a lot of snow when I was there. It is certainly hard on the body at altitude, no matter how fit you are.
Great trip and great video. Thanks for sharing it. Do you recommend the guide/outfitter that you are using? If so, can you give me the contact. I might do the trip one day.
Who did you go with? A tour group or friends? Also, at what elevations did people start exhibiting symptoms of sickness? What elevation was the Everest base camp?

@MariannaKhanBeauty
The sunglasses should be ok.
Bring extra contact lens solution as you might not be able to get the brand you need.
Also, sunscreen.
Lots and lots of sunscreen.

Started out with just me and my guide. Met another guy trekking with his guide and the four of us just went together for most of the trip.
Altitude sickness affects people differently so it depends on the person.
Base Camp from the Nepal side is at 5,360 metres.
