ever since i put a LED tipped antennae my car's 0-60 went from 13.4 sec. to 2.9 seconds! and them walmart air vents made my car pull 3.07 g's on the skidpad! yesterday i bought carbon fiber vinyl wrap for my gas tank and my car weighs 50 pounds less! my next project is creating a concrete spoiler. all ive got to say is sham-WOW!!!!

It can look nice or have exhaust or whatever, but there isn't shit under the hood. Tuners might look the same, sometimes better or worse, but they can pull on bitches quick if they have to. The truth is is that the world of tuners doesn't really exist. Maybe in magazines and in the movies. But how many people would buy a Nissan 350z and put 80,000 dollars into it to make it a "tuner". In that case wouldn't just be a race car
@Mowner3 Tuning doesn't have to involve that much money. as long as it isn't Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements(RICE). Race cars are also considered tuned cars, just done more professionally and for a racing team. Tuning is often done on off-road cars, that is why you won't see many tuned cars on the streets. And because you don't want a dumb driver running into something you invest so much into.

Damn for all you haters out there, there is a big difference between ricers and tuners. Ricer is a term used for people that just don't like the import. It can look nice or have exhaust or whatever, but there isn't shit under the hood. Tuners might look the same, sometimes better or worse, but they can pull on bitches quick if they have to. Pretty much "tuners" are worth something while ricers just want to pretend they're cool..

The truth is is that the world of tuners doesn't really exist. Maybe in magazines and in the movies. But how many people would buy a Nissan 350z and put 80,000 dollars into it to make it a "tuner". In that case wouldn't just be a race car

@Mowner3 Tuning doesn't have to involve that much money. as long as it isn't Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements(RICE). Race cars are also considered tuned cars, just done more professionally and for a racing team. Tuning is often done on off-road cars, that is why you won't see many tuned cars on the streets. And because you don't want a dumb driver running into something you invest so much into.

@hrgwea Tuners have some type of a theme, they are built "professionally" (I think thats a word), the body kit matches and it all has a purpose for better areodynamics/downforce and so on. Ricers on the other hand are junk shitters built by horny teenage boys trying to attract females, and think that an oversized spoiler on the rear of a front wheel driver car is going to compensate for lack of a "decent sized" penis.

I've seen $100.000 Toyota Supra blow a whole right in the engine block also frying out the turbo. Japanese cars will never be able to stand as much power as a car made with american after market performance parts. The japanese make the cars for reliability off the floor. Tune too much and shits going to blow.
