i totaly agree! it disgusded me when I found out that kids kill god! and everyone is on the devils side! so sorry to tell u that the golden compass is not good!
I'm Christian and I liked the book and movie. I enjoy fantasy... It's all about creativity. Some Christians are so narrow minded. I think that's a sad way to go about life, judging others and living just to put them down.
I don't know if you're still monitoring this thread, but there's an excellent Boston Globe article by Donna Freitas (a professor of religion at Boston University) explaining how the Golden Compass has been misunderstood and inaccurately caricatured by many Christians. Just type in "Donna Freitas god in the dust" (without quotation marks) on Google and you should find it.
