@aaacacaas its called adrenaline. when the french were trash talkin the americans they got so pumped because they wanted to prove them wrong. and bernard lost it for the french when he turned and pushed off wrong and moved to the side of the lane. and lezak was smart and rode the wave that bernard was making into the turn and came back like a bullet

thats absolutely disgustingly good.... 100m free at the world level and he's up by 1/3 to half a body just off the start alone and he makes it bigger with each turn by staying in the streamline longer.

Bernard was faster than Leczak in terms of power but made the mistake of swimming too close to him, so the latter benefited from Bernard's wave and snatched it at the touch. Bernard learned and it won't be done ever again.

Naa. Lezak was faster. Just admit - don´t waste ur time thinking "if" . But he (Lezak) wont swim as good as in that race no more in his life. The French will make their payback soon @ the worlds.

Lezak technically was swimming faster, yes. But only because he was riding Bernard's wake. It's like surfing, and because he didn't have to use as much energy due to this extra factor, he had more at the end and out-touched Bernard for the win. I agree, I think the French will take the 4x1 in Rome
