  • 1 People Don't Bang the drum.

  • This might be the best SR tune in terms of the fortunate melding of tune and lyrics. Even if, essentially, all we have are three stanzas. Arguably the best lyrics they produced, and this is a great re-mastering job because it lacks the tonal mushiness and general sloppiness of the original production.

  • I was never into the Stone Roses first time around, as I was still very much into the whole punk rock,Oi!, skinhead and ska scene. In recent years however I have -re-discovered the Roses so to speak and I have to say, hand on heart, this is one of the best songs EVER written!.....With the exception of Chaos by the 4 skins and England belongs to me by Cock Sparrer of course! lol

  • Thanks for posting. Could you provide some information: who remastered and when, based on demo or other recording?

  • @lebarosky i believe john leckie and ian brown did the remasters last year for the 20th anniversary of the album, based on the recording's for 'the stone roses' plus the b-sides

  • you can really hear the bass

  • Sweet quality.
