This is my favorite live version of The Great Gig in the Sky. I saw the Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour at the JFK in Philadelphia. The trio sang this song note for note and I listen in amazement as the band played on, I had goose bumps and the hair was standing on my arms.

I've been lucky enough to see the band several times. My first show was the Wish You Where Here and Animals Tour at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. I also saw The Wall in NY at the Nassau Coliseum and a few more times after.

I've been listening to Great Gig for many yrs & yet I love this version best. I like the sweep from one woman to another & that hispanic woman at the end nails it. I LOVE Clare's version, don't get me wrong. But I love the effect of having 3 dif women singing it. I have several versions on my Pink Floyd playlist. The last part of it starts with Dark Side, then another Clare, then 2 other chicks, then these 3. I love all of them. No words, just raw emotion & it was only a "filler" tune! LOL
