i think she is very talented--she had the voice--anyone that wouldve come along in partnership with her wouldve been made and enjoyed --the experience --lee couldve been nothing without the N-sinatra association--it works both ways--both had a unique combination in voice-they were a great duet-but have to respect both people and say--nancy is being diplomatic and kind in the memories of lee--but as others commented -times and people move on-nancy is very much appreciated by the yt folks...
Lee Hazelwood rescued Nancy's career. She cut some old pop standards in the early 60's that went nowhere. Hazelwood was a Nashville producer who found original contemporary material for her and tailored it to fit the image of a modern woman, not a female version of her father. It worked and she became a star in her own right.
@MegaObserver1 I couldn’t agree more He established her aside from Frank she sold millions of records and made some good ones too. These arrangements have the feel of a broadway musical. Cinematography was exceptional.
This must be part of a longer interview.. I'm quite sure I saw a longer clip a short time after his death. Maybe it was on her website? Anyway, they were brilliant together!
Nancy didn't want to be sad about Lee's passing because she would have been a "basket case", as she was when her father died in 1998; she became so depressed, she didn't leave her bedroom for an entire year. Nancy can be a very emotional person at times...
Well, I was surprised that I am the first one here, but they sang a great duet together and thanks to video like you tube, we can appreciate them both. ;)
4000 viewers and I'll make the first comment: We love nancy and lee and frank and thank you -for the third time...surfing rules..malibu morro A.. nancy is still cute!
