John Osborn - Credeasi misera - with high F

Well he gets the high F, but it doesn't even begin to compare with Nicolai Gedda.

@MrAndredekock how can you say that? I've only listened to one recording of Gedda singing the F, but I definitely prefer Osborn's rendition. In that one recording, the note started very, very tense and sounded like a very weak, unsupported mixed voice. Osborn seems to have executed his head voice very well.

@incredulousG3 Lol. I don't know what I said as it no longer shows here, but it may have been something like the high F sounds a bit like a stuck pig? Anyway, my opinion only as a singer myself, although a baritone and not a tenor. He has a good voice although I have nothing of him in my personal collection. Personally I find Gedda's high F easier to listen to and far better executed just in the technique he employs using the falsetto as a springboard for a fraction of a second.

@MrAndredekock Have a listen to young Mr Andrew Owens' high F on the cut "Re: the Puritani high F from credeasi misera". He goes by the name of drewski67 and is quite AMAZING! I think his high F is comparable with Gedda's and better than Osborne's or Brownlee's and I've never heard of him lol!

Matteuzzi e Kunde possono andare a vendere i quotidiani, per non parlare del terribile Blake....in tutti e tre i casi si ascolta con fastidio per giungere ai "famigerati" sopracuti...il resto è davvero uno scempio, per le orecchie.

Finalmente un bravo tenore, come Florez, dove si ha piacere nell'ascoltare TUTTA l'aria

@gugliox Lei parla di Florez come fosse un Dio...ma il suo canto è tutto di naso...semmai se lei parla di tecnica vocale non c'è artista migliore di Blake...per quanto la sua voce sia assai brutta...ma il canto è migliore di quello di Matteuzzi, di Kunde, di Florez e di tanti altri assai quotati...saluti

@federic017 Guardi le garantisco che tenori come Blake, Kunde e Matteuzzi potevano fare altro nella vita, soprattutto Blake: la musica non deve mai dare fastidio all'ascolto, cosa che il suo timbro purtroppo faceva...per Florez, bhè, la sua voce in maschera è ovunque posizionata tranne che nel naso, e si può considerare il massimo d'oggigiorno nel repertorio rossiniano

Ho conosciuto Osborn personalmente e l'ho sentito cantare dal vivo e devo dire che mentre si scaldava faceva i sovracuti come stesse mangindo biscottini. La voce del giovane tenore fra l'altro è piacevole e credo col tempo maturerà.
