I always have to match the outfits and the shields when I beat the game, so Link doesn't look like a bum. Hylian shield with Kokiri and zora tunic, Goron tunic with Mirror shield.

i found out something while i was stuck here. if you play the sun's song in the sun spot on the floor, a fairy appears and you can get healed or catch it and use it later

Thats the best temple besides the water temple and it has the greatest puzzles, but the best combination is zora tunic and mirror shield.

At the ordeal at 1:34 just stand by the door, use the hookshot on the statue at the corner furthest from you, it activates the statue and makes it come to you then run out the door.
