guys you should not compare this to mass effect because they are different mass effect is a simpler RPG but with a deeper story and more satisfying combat, dragon age is a more complex RPG that has more loot and more customization.

Wow, I guess I'm in the minority, but this game sucked. I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect and RPGs like Dark Souls, but Dragon Age Origins was a letdown. It's starts out strong but gets bogged down in cut-scene after cut-scene after, yeah, cut-scenes. Not to mention the terrible combat system. It feels like your playing a multiplayer game by yourself and it was an absolute pain in the ass trying to control the 4 idiots in your group. If you like this game, cool. More power to you.

Yeah, the graphics weren't the best, but the game was so amazing! The amount of options, story endings and characters, weapons, magic types and Armour! Dragon Age was the only game that I played over and over again. Also, I don't care if people weren't much for the combat, I liked it.

@apdragon321 Yes as a matter of fact it does make a game first of all skyrim had heaps of glitches from the start and than fucked it up even more with that patch that fucked us over. Skyrims combat is non enthusiastic, tedios and boring. Graphics... Meh bad textures only looks good from afar.

Dragon age beautiful story and amazing characters that i can cherish and respect a game that makes me love every second of it, Until i finally beat it than i fell sad and pick up the controller.

thing i hated from dragon age origins was that the mage's weapon the staff was too stupid, all it was was the mage thrusting the staff back and forth... so i just made my character an arcane warrior gave him a sword and picked spells that didn't have me put the sword away everytime i wanted to use a spell. other than that, it was great

I would rate it about an 8 maybe an 8.5 because of the bad looting system and the fact that i need to upgrade my swordsmanship in order to hit more than one guy with my sword. I mean seriously I see my sword pass through two guys and hit the third but nothing happens to the others. Also because most of the boss fights are tedious it's usually quen to block then wait until they do a certain attack then hit them twice and roll away. Story alone = A+ 10/10 tho.

I definitely agree with him on the no voice part. But the reason they left it out is that unlike in mass effect where they would just have to do male and female voices. In DA they would've had to do Dwarf, Human, Elf and male and female for each so thats six for multiple speech options.

Well having your characters have sex with their cloth on is awkward at best, however: remember The Witcher. They actually had to censor the pretty parts on their so called 'sex cards' at launch and added uncensored versions later. So if you can't have a picture of titties in game, because it's not socially acceptable, how the heck could you possibly have little, dwarwen, hairy women all naked?

BTW: That Dwarf making out with Morrian will haunt me for the rest of my life...
