Yes and No. The original Skyline models came from a Japanese car-brand called "Prince". Once Prince got taken over by Nissan it was branded from Prince Skyline to Nissan Skyline. However, eventough in those days the company was already called Nissan in Japan, in other parts of the world it was still called Datsun and some (but not all) Skyline models were sold under other model-names as Datsun. But a real Datsun Skyline has never excisted.

And yes, "datsun" did have a skyline. It was called the 120Y in the western world. Its the same chassis as the skyline 2000, but didn't have the same engine.
Should this show be called Automan? He is dealing with automobiles after all not motorcycles...
