How funny, to see this clip back !! I was there, back in the early 80ies ! It was during a live TV-recording for a brand new TV-programm -VERONICA-TOTAAL- in the Netherlands. We all got those silly Cowboy-Hats. I remember, there was a major short-cut during the registration. The other artist were: the Dutch Pop-group -SPARGO- and Holland's Number-One Country Band The Ruud Hermans Band, Later known as TULSA.

fantastic song. Weird video though. Billie jo is singing a country ballad but the audience is having a hoe down and appear to be dancing and clapping to a completely different song.

@alb194 I could talk for hours about the layers that wind up making a whole to this late "Nashville sound" milestone. Pete's hook toward the end is what hooked me way back when but I agree with you about the song and Billie Jo. Hear Hear - to those in the UK, who have kept some of these genuine Country Folk working. I hope some find this song as an "Alice in Wonderland" door to a world of great music hardly recognized today.

This song was one of my favorites in '75, so much so that I picked up on it. It has it's sentimental side to it but obviosly has a great uptempled twang to it. Here in Vancouver Canada country music disen't reign, it's a distant second to pop & music centered around pop. Because of senders like you my record collection is getting dusty as I find myself resorting to youtube to hear those all time favorites. Country music today has incorporated pop withih, this is particulary true of Shania.

Thanks so much and I certainly understand with a "me too". Hello to Vancouver, an area I visit often. There is an interesting YouTube with a Canadian Country Artist singing in Mandarin with a Chinese Female taped in Vancouver. I am sorry to say I have held up any more posting of these gems for there are lookers but no rating leavers and that is very disappointing.
